Entrance Preview :
They conduct a Ph.D. entrance twice a year (July and Dec). A score above the cut-off in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) makes you eligible for applying here. Indian Institute of Technology is one of the best technical colleges in India, which makes it an obvious choice for students.

Yes, for Ph.D. students they provide a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000 (for the first two years) which is increased to Rs. 28,000 for the last three years. Apart from this, we have various funded exchange programs and internships.

College Events :
A lot of events are organized by students throughout the year. Mood Indigo which is the cultural festival of IIT Bombay has a reputation of being one the biggest college fest in India. Similarly, the technical fest called Tech-fest has its own charm and charisma and brings in a lot of attention from over the world.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees for every semester are to be paid separately. Fees include a tuition fee and education fee and could be paid via. different online payment portals. for financially challenged students and students coming from underprivileged parts of the society, there are several fee waiver schemes available.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Two banks, namely, State Bank of India and Canara Bank have their branches inside the college. During the admission, they place their stalls near the main building for any assistance on the education load. These loans are readily available at a lucrative interest rate.
Campus Life :
We have several clubs on our campus, which are responsible for organizing events on an annual or semester basis. These clubs include cultural, educational, sports, and technological groups. During normal weekends (when there are no tests) multiple events are organized in the students' activity center. Students are motivated to take part in it according to their area of choice.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are equipped with all the modern facilities such as a TV room with a home theater and projector. Pool room, football, Gym, library, and computer rooms. There is a separate reading hall with lots of books in it for the common use of students. The mess is managed by the students mainly and hygiene, quality, and menu are decided and observed by the inmates of the hostel.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, we have an alumni association (a separate body) to look after and manage the database of the students passing out from here. Alumni are often called into departments for interactive sessions with the current students. Over the past 50-60 years, we have grown a strong alumni network with the alumni hailing from big companies such as Infosys, etc.
Exam Structure :
The exam is mostly subjective in nature where the student is assessed in grades. The cumulative grades are assessed after mid-semester, end semester, assignments, and project work done during the coursework. A student should have a minimum of 4 CGPA in a semester to be promoted successfully.
Admission :
The process involves shortlisting of invited applications on the basis of CGPA and GATE score. Thereafter, the applicant has to undergo a written test. If the applicant is able to clear the written test, he/she will be called for the interview. The applicant will be allotted a particular panel depending on the courses he/she has attended during their graduation and Post-graduation.
Faculty :
Faculties here are very much knowledgeable and are willing to work hard along with the student. They try to give as much attention to the student as they can. Being alumni of various national and international institutes bring extra efficiency out of them.
