Remarks :

For a water resources engineer, I would prefer NITW to all other NITs. In a nutshell, if you so interested to learn more and more then sky is the only limit.

Entrance Preview :

I have scored rank of 7300 in Gate, for which getting NITW is almost impossible as it is one of the TOP 10 Institutes for Water Resources. But still, I made it, thanks to the spot counselling!

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum will be pretty hard at first as there will be hectic timetable all over the day! But if you can carry yourself everyday to those old classes, you will get used to them.. Not only that you will be rewarded with a few great friends. Classes will be from 9 AM - 4 PM and it varies depending on the timetable.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, My college provides MHRD scholarship of 12400 rupees per month if you sign every day in the register. Other than that, it wont provide more! Besides it is a normal NIT not an IIT in which we will get foreign projects to work on! Hence first try for IIT's then come to NIT in the case of internship

Placement Experience :

This question is perfect for me! I have worked as a Training and placement coordinator for 1 year in NITW! if you have any doubts you can connect me through LINKEDIN. This year we have reached 13 out of 15 students! and those 2 students are interested in high salary jobs! Our mean is 4.2 L.P.A.

College Events :

There will be two official festivals called Technozion, the technical fest and SpringSpree, the cultural fest. Other than these, there will be events occurring frequently on weekends. There are certain clubs, few are overrated though! But if you have interest in any field, NITW will definitely provide assistance!

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee is a bit more here when compared to other NIT's but I heard they will collect the fee through other means. Yes, it is feasible. You can take a loan before joining the college and pay back with your stipend of 12400 rupees. most of my friends did the same thing.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

You can take a loan before joining the college and pay back with your stipend of 12400 rupees. most of my friends did the same thing.

Campus Life :

Campus life changes depending on students council. If we get an energetic president or V.P, then every day there will be an event or a movie or DJ etc.. On the contrary, the opposite can also happen. Academic workshops and conferences are pretty common here.

Hostel Facilities :

Mess food would not be good in first year as we have to eat in private messes. As you can expect, private messes work for money, not for efficiency. In the second year, we are fortunate to find govt messes. It is a non-veg mess. EVERYDAY NON VEG except on saturday

Alumni/Alumna :

It depends on the fellow senior batch! If they are not helping we cant blame whole college. In my case there are good seniors who can help me out on anytime!

Exam Structure :

If you want CGPA go to surathkal or trichy or even calicut! Here in warangal you have to work hard for marks.. In other words, you have to earn each and every mark! It makes us study more and of course in a country like India, CGPA matters the most! Hence regarding CGPA prefer other NITs

Admission :

I got it through Spot Counseling in CCMT! Don't loose hope, try till the last end! You don't know what is waiting on the other side! First I got RS and GIS and then there was Institute sliding by which I got into water resources engineering! Ecen if you dont get seat in ccmt spot, you can wait till institute spot counselling. In this round, there is a high probability of luck to get a seat! All the BEST

Faculty :

Professors in NIT Warangal, especially in Water Resources are one of the best in India. Prof. Uma Mahesh is one of the best professors in India. I am unlucky to loose a PhD under him. May be next time I will get it! We have five professors and the last professor has joined in 1996. So you can assume the quality!

Placement Experience:

Because IIIT Hyderabad is one of the high colleges in India, the college's placements are also up to par. During our batch, the college's highest placement offer was around 45 LPA, and the average wage offer was around 18 LPA. The college's regular recruiters include Amazon, Adobe, Google, Facebook, Jio, Samsung, Code Nation, Uber, Qualcomm, and TCS. Several of my classmates were also offered pre-placement opportunities during the internship programme.

Placement Experience:

IIIT Hyderabad is very popular for its engineering placement all over India after seeing the placement of my own brother I did not have any doubt regarding the placement. The student of IIIT Hyderabad receive the highest packages and IIIT Hyderabad students are quite popular among the recruiters. The campus is visited by the companies like Walmart, Google, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, Microsoft, India Oil, etc. The highest package for our batch was 55 LPA and the lowest was 21 LPA and I was also lucky enough to receive the package of 35 LPA.

Placement Experience:

For the result of first semester itself is considered as eligibility. Some foreign companies came through and Indian companies like TCS, Zeesta, Hyundai mobis and some more startup companies came to the college and recruited some students. Highest package is 12 LPA and lowest is 3.6 LPA. 60% of the students get placed. The percentage got lower as the recruitment process is made more strict. I planned to prepare for civil services after finishing my masters.
