PAU Review

Remarks :

You must have science or agriculture in +2 with at least 50% marks. Has to fill the white form for entrance test when form filling starts around 2 months before the exam. Reservation is available for SC/ST and OBC, Kashmiri migrants, Armed forces. Reservation must be decreased there are so many categories for reservation

Course Curriculum Overview :

You have to give exams Four Times in a semester of five months. Hourly exam in 2nd month, midterm exams in 3rd month, practical exams a week before end sem exam and end sem at end of the semester. The difficulty level was normal including both subjective and objective to test your knowledge.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are decent here. Some students who are interested get internships or get to work with the teachers on their research. Some organizations send students to rural areas to promote their products and also to test the extension skills of students. Otherwise, students like to work with teachers to help them in their research on varieties. These internships are not of long duration.

Placement Experience :

The placement level is poor as compared to other high-level govt. Colleges. The placement level is about 20% and that too of avg. Package of 2-2.5 lakhs. That's also because most the students are interested in higher studies and govt. Offered jobs and posts. Package varies from 2lakhs from lowest up to 6 lakhs. I'm planning for Postgraduate course after this and then preparation for ADO

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for the Whole course are around 2 lakhs some students who are from rural areas get a new scholarship every semester. These scholarships are fixed by University. Teachers will make you aware of this. Fees in the first sem are high as compared to all others.

Campus Life :

Youth fest, sports meet, and other folk events are frequent here Mostly during the winter session. The library is very vast containing almost every book you feel you need. The classroom is decent but seems old-fashioned. Sports Facilities are very great here consisting of almost every type of ground for sports along with a swimming pool and cycling track.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this course, exams are conducted 4 times in each and every semester. There are 2 MSTs which are monthly test held for 20 marks which will have a direct effect on the internal marks of the students. And after that there is a practicals exam for 20 marks, after which the main semester exam is done for 60 marks. All these curriculum activities helps the students in preparing for competitive exams or building up our own business. The practicals done in these days help the students to get a more comprehensive and scientific view on the study of their own respective courses.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is nice according to Punjab technical University but college teachers don't know how to teach it . Moreover agriculture is a subject which requires practical knowledge with theory . For example if you are telling about sowing, or any disease or any other agricultural interventions in plants then how can students get ready for real world if they don't have any practical knowledge in these topics because agriculture is all about fields not about pen and copies
