Remarks :

The admission process in the university is open and smooth. You can apply directly to the university for the chosen course. Desh Bhagat University is known for providing the best facilities at fewer fees. University fee procedure is 30% lesser than other private universities and secondly, Universities provides diversified fields as per your need. I was an agriculture student and my fee was 50000 per year and was provided with scholarship options too. The University is Newly formed so can infrastructure is not at its best but overall the University stands on your expectations and provides you a platform for all your needs.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have been studying BSc Hons in agriculture for the last four years. I chose this subject because of my family background. The University student ratio was around 300 agriculture students in integrated and four-year courses. The teachers were highly qualified mostly Ph.D. scholars and retired professors from Punjab Agricultural University. The teaching method has been most beneficial and they taught us academics and practicals at very appropriate methods and taught us techniques that gave us diversified views about agriculture. The exams were timely and most importantly college did best in lockdown situations to provide us materials.

Class Size : 1400Course Fees : INR 50000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

As I am a student of agriculture I was provided with certain internship programs like in dairy, livestock, food processing and Rawe training of 5 months. The main projects were food processing units where we learned how to preserve food for future uses and how to make food processes in different fields.

Placement Experience :

The University provides placement offers mostly in 5 semesters for three-year courses and 7 for four-year courses. The various campus has visited some been foreign and some locally. At least 30 % of students get packages. I am going to take admission in pg course.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees hike has been smooth and always has kept the student's positions at the uttermost place. The fees cost had always helped students as it has been lesser than most the private students. Scholarships have been in good numbers some were geographical badly and some country level ( premetric post metric based scholarship or merit cum scholarship ) and some for local people and girls. We get good opportunities on the college campuses in jobs and internships programs.

Campus Life :

Desh Bhagat University always conducts festivals and programs ( youth festival, freshers festival, science festival, cultural festival ) mostly are conducted in autumn session as the new season starts for next year. The library is well equipped and provides all online faculty, journals, and newspapers. The University always takes part in sports and provides a platform for the art and talent of students. The students union is one of the main group and there are few other like self-help group.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is cheap and well-equipped. Providing bathroom, cupboard, and ac as per need and rooms are colored and every facility is worthwhile. The food is separate as the university is diversified with culture and food is nutrients based and tasty. The registration process starts from the admin office and is easy and affordable.

Hostel Fee : INR 55000 per year

Is LPU that Lovely?

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placements from their final year and should have passed all the subjects. Companies visited are ITC, Adani Wilmar, dhanuka, some startups Highest package offered for the current session was 8lpa to 4 students where the average pay is 3.6 lpa Due to low pay most of the students turn down the job offer and goes on pursuing higher studies. So far, from what I have experienced is that there is cut throat competition in the placements.

Good in campus environment

Remarks:

After i entered , it was heaven seriously speaking from a small town LPU life for me is no less than a dream life. So here are some DO's and DONTs LPU :- Alwaysintain 75% attendance otherwise you won't be allowed to give your end term examination. 2. Don't get carried away with the crowd , you won't be able to come back to real life. 3. Be as simple as possible so that distractions doesn't over come your focus . 4. Join various Organisations. Here at LPU we have more that 50 Student running organisations , take initiative and be a part in any of these. 5. Weekly , there will be functions , or something or the other so that Students inside the campus are not board , so enjoy them . 6. As i have mentioned before , be choosey to select your friends world is not good my dear . 7. Yes , LPU have more than 3000 CCTVs and security guards are present within 100mt of range , so if you feel anything uncomfortable or someone is trying to disturb or something like that take there help. Security people are really very good.
