PAU REVIEW

Dislikes

  • This is a government university hence working is slow for a single piece of work you have to go to that teacher or professor for many times
  • Vehicles are allowed in campus which creates nuisance by vehicles

Course Curriculum Overview :

Basically, I belong to a rural agriculture background family due to which I want to know more about these crops how they are grown, and how they can be produced more efficiently to fulfill demand for food for the country.

Internships Opportunities :

To be honest, in my degree which is bsc horticulture there are no internships, etc. or companies but in agri engineering college there are internships and placements too. But for practical knowledge, college is best.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is not so high. for the first sem, there is a fee of 60 thousand and for the next 7 semesters there is a fee of 24000. Scholarships are also available for students like the Pyara Singh Parmar scholarship and Dr. Gs Khush scholarship in which rs 18000 thousand is given to students. I also pursued this scholarship,

Campus Life :

The campus is so good as there is a campus with an area of 1550 acres with full of greenery and practica field areas. The university has a huge library with a huge amount of books also there are well-developed roads. Every classroom has inbuilt smart classroom for study and the classroom had the capacity to accommodate around 100 students

Hostel Facilities :

For first year students there is a hostel named hostel no.13 where all students are accomodated of all degrees then students are shifted to senior hostels like hostel no.1 2 4 hostels have wifi facility but cleanliness is huge concern here

Admission :

For eligibility student must have completed 12th from a medical or non-medical field with a minimum of 50% marks in all subjects. Then there is a common entrance test for admission named PAUCET. Through which admissions are taken.

Faculty :

The faculty is good there are a good amount of teachers well qualified. practical knowledge is given with full focus as it is an agriculture university, the knowledge about agriculture is given properly with best equipment

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this course, exams are conducted 4 times in each and every semester. There are 2 MSTs which are monthly test held for 20 marks which will have a direct effect on the internal marks of the students. And after that there is a practicals exam for 20 marks, after which the main semester exam is done for 60 marks. All these curriculum activities helps the students in preparing for competitive exams or building up our own business. The practicals done in these days help the students to get a more comprehensive and scientific view on the study of their own respective courses.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is nice according to Punjab technical University but college teachers don't know how to teach it . Moreover agriculture is a subject which requires practical knowledge with theory . For example if you are telling about sowing, or any disease or any other agricultural interventions in plants then how can students get ready for real world if they don't have any practical knowledge in these topics because agriculture is all about fields not about pen and copies
