GIM for Post graduation, is a reliable option

Remarks :

The basic criteria for admission is a bachelors' course from a recognized university. The entrance exam that is valid for GIM is CAT. The cut-off marks range from 85 to 89 percentile. The sectional cut off is also around 85 percentile. Clearing both, overall score and sectional cut off is a must.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are around 60 students per faculty member. The faculty guides are effective in solving queries and clarifying concepts. The end-term exams are of moderate to a high level, and sometimes there can be technical glitches due to the online mode of examination.

Internships Opportunities :

The placement cell also helps students get placed for summer internship programs. Highest stipend is around 75,000 rs per month and the average stipend ranges from 30,000 Rs per month to 40,000 Rs per month.

Placement Experience :

We get 100% placements for all students. The placement cell is very active and efficient. BFSI, IT, Data Analytics etc are some top industries from where companies come. The highest package is 20 lakhs per annum, and the average package is 10 lakhs per annum.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is around 10 lakh Rs per annum, which is at par with other major B schools. Scholarships are given to the top students who performed excellently in Xth, XIIth, and UG and after that also in 2nd year the best performers of the 1st year also get a scholarship.

Campus Life :

There are 28 clubs and societies. All of them have events throughout the year. They keep the students engaged and entertained. Every month there are fun and exciting events and competitions. Music society, events cell, dance society, etc are some examples.

Interview Experience :

WAT PI rounds happen after announcing cut-off. WAT topics are based on current affairs, so follow news around you. PI questions are based on the course you opted for and why you opted it. Answer them with confidence and you will sail. The results are announced late and they should fasten it so that those who are not selected are not left hanging for too long, though.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of its non-specific focus on a single component it covers human resource management as well as finance management & operation management. Faculty : student ratio is around 1:10 Some faculty here are from top-tier institutes like IIM Ahmedabad and others have vast industry experience. Term Exam are held in timely fashion and because of relative grading it's comparatively difficult to pass than under graduate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing GIM's PGDM was a strategic move for me. The curriculum is dynamic, constantly evolving to reflect current business trends. Core courses in finance, marketing, and strategy provide a strong foundation, while electives let you specialize in areas like analytics, entrepreneurship, or sustainability. Plus, the faculty-student ratio of around 1:15 ensures personalized attention. Professors are industry veterans and academic thought leaders, bringing real-world expertise to the classroom. Their diverse qualifications – doctorates from top global universities, industry experience with MNCs and startups – enrich the learning experience. Teaching methods are interactive, with case studies, simulations, and guest lectures keeping things engaging. Term exams were generally on schedule, with a two-week window for preparation. Difficulty varies depending on the course and professor, but thorough preparation and utilizing faculty guidance ensured I passed comfortably.
