Centre for Management Studies, Dibrugarh University

4.7 /5

Remarks :

First, we were to sit for CAT or MAT, then the students who applied for the admission procedure were shortlisted for the GD round. Selected candidates were further asked to go for the Personal Interview.

Course Curriculum Overview :

After I completed my B.com from Calcutta University, I decided to go for Dibrugarh University for a persuading MBA as it is considered as the best in town. We have a good ratio of teachers to students. Every course has an individual expert teacher. Most of the teachers are phd holders and are highly experienced. The teachers over here are very supportive and the exams were conducted timely in spite of the situation pandemic created.

Placement Experience :

There were many companies invited for college placement. Students of 3rd semester are eligible for campus placements. Approximately 30-50% of the students gets placed. Currently, there are no plans rather than working for College Dunia as a Data researcher.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees structure is quite consistent over the past few years. There are no such campus jobs available there. No scholarships are provided here. I really have no idea about the financial assistance though if any student might need that I am sure the department will help them.

Campus Life :

The Centre for Management Studies is a well-organized department. We have a vast library with all our requirements. We have a college fest named SANMILLAN organized every year which is conducted for a week.

Interview Experience :

For getting into the college we were first asked for CAT or MAT score. The students who applied for the Centre for Management Studies were shortlisted based on their score. After then the GD was conducted carried by the PI round.

Some of the companies that I remember right now are PWC, KPMG, axis bank, ujjivan bank, Vodafone idea, pantaloons, Bajaj Allianz, Tata AIG, Flipkart, etc. The highest package was of PWC. The average package of the placements were around 350000 -400000 per annum. More 70% of the students were placed and some of the students didn't want jobs as they were interested in further studies.
