Remarks :

Established in 1965 Dibrugarh University is one of the best universities in the state. It was ranked 86 in the 101?150 band overall in India among universities and 35 in the pharmacy ranking by NIRF in 2019. In addition to this the ambience of the university has always attracted me always. The University is spread over an area of 500 acres with several facilities which include in-campus canteens, hostels, parks, playgrounds, indoor stadium, gymnasium hall, guest houses, ponds, outdoor halls, indoor sports hall, basketball/volleyball courts, etc. The Lakshminath Bezbaruah Central Library is the hub to access numerous books, encyclopedias, journals, magazines, novels, newspaper and many others. It caters to the need of all the students and teachers and every necessary book is received here. Also the university is located in an urban area i.e. just 5kms from the Dibrugarh town. Most departments and hostels also provide free Wi-Fi to the students for their assignments. Also most departments and centres have their own library facility for their respective students. The campus placement of the overall students is also satisfactory. Every year the students of Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Centre for Management Studies, Library Science, Mass Communication, etc are decently placed in various government and private companies.

Dibrugarh University follows the CBCS system for grading. The professional courses has their own industrial exposure according to their requirements. The faculties are also very cooperative and helps the students whenever they are in need.

Placement Experience :

I have no idea regarding the loan available. Some of my friends have availed the course fees by applying for student loans which may or may not be from private banks. There are several scholarships for the reservation caste like OBC, ST's and SC's. These are often applied through the departments, administration office, etc. ITC often provides PPO after the internship. In addition to ITC, people also get hired for Airtel, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, Bandhan Bank, Amul, Caf? Coffee Day, etc. Sometimes they travel to places to attend the job interview because recruiters sometimes do not want to visit the place as its far from Guwahati.

College Events :

The University celebrates various cultural events starting from the varsity week. The engineering students has an event in the month of October, followed by fests by the Mass Communication and Management department. In addition to these there are several other events held from time to time.

Arya vidyapeeth college life as a student

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose philosophy as my major course as I want to learn about the things we experienced and the way they are the curriculum prepares me well enough to overcome in my day-to-day life I haven't faced any need for improvement in the teaching method. Exams were indeed a difficult task as a student, we hardly had a week to prepare ourselves for the examination.

Crisp college experience

Placement Experience:

Placements in this college is quite decent . Students are eligible to sit for placements at the start of 4th year The average placement percentage was 90 percent last year with max package of 52lpa and average of 16lpa (for cs) .Among core branches , the mech department is quite good offers good packages and also have great faculties .

Course Curriculum Overview:

About the course curriculum, I still wonder why they have to put science subjects on the course curriculum of arts students. They would say it's a basic course but it is definitely not. Those arts students came there to learn their main subjects. I think it is unnecessary to put sc subjects there plus it is not basic. Otherwise the main subjects' curriculum is pretty well organised and planned.
