Course Curriculum Overview :
Goa Medical College & Hospital offers courses in medical and paramedic courses. The University of Goa, which is part of the Medical College of Goa, has designed the Goa curriculum. The curriculum follows the latest developments in medicine and is a comprehensive approach to the study of. The exam structure is also decided by the University of Goa. There are semester exams at the end of each semester and final exams at the end of each term. 65% of total weightage is finals, and 35% of weightage is internals. 50% marks are required to pass each word.
Placement Experience :
Being a medical college, there is no placement in engineering college. After completing the MBBS last year, the college offers an internship, which is required for graduation. The stipend for the internship is Rs14000 per month. The internship allows the student to experience the work of each section of the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Since this is a medical college, the fee structure is very practical. The fees for each new batch vary every year, but they remain the same throughout the course for a particular batch. Fees are different for regular students and SC / ST / OBC students. Fees are charged every 6 months and for the current new batch it is Rs.50,000 per semester.
Campus Life :
Various extracurricular activities organized by the college include the Interscience Sports Meet, the Inter-Collegiate Event Plexus, and more. Students also take part in sports and cultural activities hosted by other colleges. The labs of the college are well maintained. The college has a sports department and a sports coordinator. The college makes use of playgrounds owned by the University of Goa.
Admission :
To enter Goa Medical College, candidates must answer the National Entrance Examination (NEET) and then be selected on the basis of merit. 85% of the seats for Goa's resident population and 15% for all Indian students
Faculty :
The faculty of the college has excellent doctors who have not only great experience in teaching but also in medical practice. Educators do a great job of providing the best medical education in a simple and fun way. They help not only in education but also in the holistic development of students to become good and responsible members of society.
