Remarks :
Amity University Noida teachers are extremely good at teaching. They go beyond their duties to teach us and very hard working. The crowd is very nice. One will find many rich students with a variety of talents. Continuously seminars and guest lectures are held. Exams are quite lengthy for us. Huge campus. Variety of food outlets on the campus itself. It's like a city. There's an online portal called Amazone in which we get all the timely updates and notices. However, administration thereafter taking admission is not up to the mark. There is no one to listen to the problems students face. Teachers have no power in the administration and decision-making process. Teachers seem as helpless as we students are. Also, lectures are held till the end and the syllabus is not completed even atleast a week before our exams. Compulsory foreign language courses and internships in NGO- yes it has marks and it is exhausting and stressful. Also, authorities seem quite insensitive to the needs of students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I took up this course because I wanted to get into this very field since my school time. The course structure is definitely fantastic. Though, we have 4 sections in this course with 75 students in each section. The course is very lengthy. We have up to 11 subjects in each semester. The faculty is very qualified with a really impressive resume and experience. One of our professors of Physiology is a retired Navy medical officer. Compulsion of taking up a foreign language as a mandatory subject is a huge problem to many of us students as we are here to specialize in a specific subject yet we are told to study something extremely irrelevant from scratch. The syllabus is vast. Examinations are quite lengthy and difficult. Checking exam papers seem fair.
Placement Experience :
A form is circulated at the very beginning of the course which is about - if we want college placements or wish to continue with higher studies or want help to start with our own venture. Students can select only one of either of these options and the same is taken into consideration in the final year. Each of these options has a special committee set up, so the outcomes are effective. However, in placement, once a company offers the candidate a job then he/she cannot opt for another job opportunity. There are detailed briefings about each job opportunities and we can choose if we want to apply for it or no. Almost everyone gets the placement here (whoever applies for it). For absolute freshers, salary ranges from 2 LPA up to even 8 LPA or even more.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
When it comes to fees, it increases every year. It increases every odd semester even for the students who are pursuing a particular course and go to the next odd semester. This is a private university, and so honestly they seem to care about their profits majorly. However, we do get scholarship offers based on merit. They have fixed criteria for the scholarship offered. Up to a 50% reduction of the amount of the fee is offered as a scholarship and honestly, It is really helpful. Apart from this, we are required to do internships which are really hard to get and it is not provided by the university, unfortunately, and this is really a task.
Campus Life :
There are many fests in university. Every single cultural festival of the country, like Holi and Diwali, is also celebrated. It is celebrated with huge success and enthusiasm. There are also fests and magazines for each subject. In the library, there are lakhs of books from each domain. Classroom s are very posh and clean , with air conditioning in every class. There are a lot of opportunities to grow socially and develop academically here. A lot of emphases is put on the overall development of the students. There are various social groups, clubs and committees for art, literature, music, etc. All of the clubs and committees on both the university as well as the organisational levels are very very active. It is really fun to be here at this University.
Interview Experience :
There are 2 types of admission: one is direct admission and the other is the normal one. In normal admission, there is an entrance examination that has to be cleared to go to the next round of admission process which is Personal Interview, and this is taken by the respective course faculty. So, once one clears both rounds, admission is granted. Direct admission doesn't involve any kind of entrance examination and/or interview. Admission is directly given on the basis of exceptional marks consistently scored by the student right from his/her SSC examination. Apart from this, the entrance examination is very very simple. It majorly tests the ability to communicate in English as the entire course is in the English language. When it comes to a personal interview, questions are like " why do you want to enrol in this course", "why did you want to seek admission in this very university", etc. and some questions about the information when giving in our resume.
