- Infrastructure: The infrastructure in general is modern. All classrooms are equipped with cameras and projectors.
- The faculty members include those with a vast experience as well as younger, inexperienced faculty creating grounds for a vast area of discussions.
Dislikes
- The tuition fee is considered to be quite high.
- The placements are not guaranteed but the departments assist in the same.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is inclusive of quite a lot of practical experiences. The introduction of integrated assignments has helped amalgamate the use of various fields. The frequency and timings of exams is decent.
Internships Opportunities :
Major MNCs host placement drives in the campus and all students are encouraged to join them. Some of them include TATA, Accenture, Ford, and Amazon. The departments also mandate students to complete an internship after the end of each academic year for experience. The placements include in-house and out-house. Students can complete their internship under the guidance of faculty members or they may opt for laboratories or private sectors.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee for first year is Rs. 75,500 per semester. Alongside the first semester's fee, you will pay a security fee of Rs. 20,000 that will be refunded upon the completion of the degree. The 2nd year's fee is Rs. 75,500 per semester and that of the last 2 semesters is 83,500. The fee for 4th year in case of a research and honours degree will be increased by 5 percent. The fee is increased by 5 percent every year. Scholarships are provided based on merit. For each campus, the criteria is different. For Noida campus, students scoring higher than 90% in boards (class 12) are provided with a 50% scholarship in the first year. ID cards are provided to the students in the beginning of the 1st academic year, and a fine of Rs. 500 is levied on misplacing and replacing it.
Campus Life :
Students are encouraged to participate in club activities and join clubs, be it deparmental or institutional. The annual events include Amity Youth Fest, hosted annualy with the presence of a prominent celebrity. Other events include Sangathan, the annual sports event. Festivals are celebrated in H-block with much grandeur.
Admission :
The admission process is smooth. You only have to register on the official website and proceed towards the payment of the semester. The admission criteria is 80% above in board exams (class 12). Those scoring below 80% must clear an interview phase. I chose this college for the facilities it offers.
Faculty :
The faculty members are experiences. Those that are pursuing their PhD degrees too teach. The faculty to student ratio is quite decent, allowing for one-to-one interactions. There are mid-semester exams conducted alongside presentations and assignments.
Night Life :
The campus is facilitated with a gym, library, and multiple cafetetias spanning across the campus. There are various other facilities like sports ground, tennis, badminton and basketball court, swimming pool, and a shooting range. (Shotting is a paid activity) The hostel timings are regulated and attendance is taken to ensure safety. The locality of PGs outisde the university is safe as well. The most famous hangout places include balli (outside gate 2), and arcadia (F-block).
