Remarks :

Overall this is the best institute in India in terms of eduction, extra curricular activities etc.

Entrance Preview :

I appeared for entrance exam conducted by ICT, Mumbai. This is the best institute in Chemical field in India. I have done my graduation in Textile Chemistry and this institutes offers one of the best textile facilities in India.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I persued my post gradutaion in Textile Chemistry from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. During this course we have covered subjects realted to chemistry of textiles and effluesnt treatment methods to treat the effluent generated by textile industries.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship wise this institute provides the best platform to appear for interviews for various big companies. General stipend offered varies from 10k - 20k per month. Its reputation attracts a lot of companies from the list of Fortune 500 companies.

Placement Experience :

Reputation of this institute attracts a lot of companies from the list of Fortune 500 companies. It provides almost 100% of the placements. Companies like Reliance, Evalueserve, L&T, Honeywell are the big companies among the list whihc provides abundant of job opportunities.

College Events :

So many technical and cultural events are celebrated each year like Manzar, Funtech and many more. Manzar is an inter college fest which invites students from various colleges to take part. This is one of the biggest and known fest organised in Mumbai.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is not much expensive. Institute provides various fellowships to the students. Various fellowships on the basis of academic performance as well as caste are available to help students which are economically unsound.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For the masters students if you are GATE qualified then you are eligible for a monthly stipend. Otherwise yes, there are few more scholorships which can be availed depending upon ones performace in academics.

Campus Life :

Various extracurricular activities take place every year. Gender ratio is almost 50:50 as per my opinion. Various competetions are conducted every year to motivate students to bring out their potential.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities need to be improved. Hostilites have to face bed bugs in their rooms which is the most concerned area in hostel. Old hostel building needs to be built again as iyt has become very old. Mess food is fine and hygenic.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

This institute monitors the alumini group very aggresively. A group of alumini is there in place and alumini meetings are conducted every year in different cities.

Exam Structure :

Exam and Labs are chilled out. Environment is very friendly. We have semester system here in the institute. Each semester you have to appear for exams and along with that some class tests are conducted. Few labs are something which need to be focused more.

Faculty :

Faculty of this this institute is globally known in their respective fields. under textile departments this institute provides one the best professors available in India. Also for Chemical Engineering, the faculty has done some major projects which make this institute no. one in publishing the scientific articles in India.

Admission:

Admission happens through the gate exam merit list. the gate is an exam conducted by old IITs each year. where around 8 lac students appear for the exam out of which only 16% could clear the exam. in that most, top ranks get admission in IIT through the gate. top 1% of all people who give exams mostly get admitted in the IIT Bombay.
