Remarks :

The college have a great history, but Odisha campus in Bhubaneswar is being set up and not functional yet. ICT is currently operating from temporary campus in IIT Kharagpur extension center, Bhubaneswar.

Course Curriculum Overview :

ICT have introduced trimister pattern for the first time in India, the syllabus of course is also designed in order to give students maximum exposure to industry. Students have to spend every alternate trimister in Industry to gain field experience.

Placement Experience :

ICT have record of 100% placement. With alumni like Mukesh Ambani, Dr. R. A. Mashelkar and many more, ICT generated more than 500 first generation entrepreneurs. Most of students are placed in multinational companies and PSUs. In my course I have to for internship every alternate trimister, my last internship was at Microfilt India Pvt ltd. And most of internships are paid.

College Events :

Many events are celebrated in college, the events like tree plantation, blood donation camps and collection drives are conducted by social club. Technological club conduct workshops and seminars. Sports club institute students get chance to show their talent in various sports. Arts and crafts club and dance and music club are also active.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is approx 90k/year which I don't think is so expensive compared to facilities and quality of knowledge provided in institute. It is feasible and no students ever left ICT because of money.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many scholarships provided by alumini association as well as by professors. Also many industries sponsor education at ICT. All thank to it's great history and reputation. ICT have very good relations with industries.

Campus Life :

There are many labs including analytical lab, microbiology lab and labs of all different departments are being set up. Labs headed by professor work to solve problems of society and industry. There are also activities like sports, literature club and many other clubs are there.

Hostel Facilities :

ICT have hostel like any other elite institutions and provide good facilities to students. Hostel got in-house gym, mess, washing machine, volleyball court. Also rooms are spacious and hostel is well maintained.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network of ICT is maybe the strongest on in India. Alumni also help and mentor students. UDCT Alumni association provides funds for many student events. Senior students are also very helpful and try to make life at ICT Bhubaneswar enjoyable.

Admission :

Admissions are based upon JEE mains entrance exam. Admissions are done in all three campuses of ICT simultaneously. Integrated M-TECH is a five year course and to get admission student have to apply for course on ICT Mumbai website at ICT www.Mumbai.edu.in

Faculty :

Faculties of college are highly qualified young scientists and researchers with experience in foreign countries. Faculties are also student friendly and open to suggestions. Faculties also have contacts in industry from which institute and students get benefited.

Admission:

Course: Power Electronics, important for renewable energy and electric mobility in near future. IIT Bombay Power Electronics is 3rd best in placement after IISc & IITK. I got admission through BTech GPA and technical interview. The primary mode of admission is through GATE.

Remarks:

If DIAT can provide placements, this is one area where DIAT lacks. Other than this DIAT is a college that is comparable to the IITs, better than NITs for post-graduation courses for sure. Since this college is regarded as one of the DRDO colleges, it provides very good opportunities for research.

Entrance Preview:

To pursue post-graduation in IIT, you have to clear the gate examination. After scoring a good percentile you will get calls from various colleges where you will have to face the interview. I scored 99.5 percentile in the GATE exam and being the best institute for technology, I chose IIT Powai despite being selected for many other IIT.

Admission:

After scoring well in the GATE exam, I applied for all the IIT's. The application process is online and starts immediately after the results are out. Based on your score, you will get calls from various departments of IIT. Based on your final interview score, you will be selected for the course.

IITB is heaven

Remarks:

College managements were really good. We were provided the internal bus facility to avail. We also had bus passes because we used to walk a lot within the campus only. I must say that everybody must see the IITB once because it is heaven.
