Bombay College of Pharmacy is one of the most leading and recognized pharmacy institutions in India. The institution was established in 1957 by the Indian Pharmaceutical Association Maharashtra State Branch (IPA-MSB) with financial assistance from the Government of Maharashtra and other pharmaceutical corporations. It offers bachelors, masters, doctorate and diploma courses to the students. BCP has generated more than 1500 Pharmacists and 300 M.Pharma and 170 Ph.D., graduates. I am a second year student of master's in pharmacy. The year in which i took admission here, the college coverted to an autonomous college type. Thus the syllabus was not like other universities. The college is industry linked and also associated with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association Maharashtra state branch.
Yes, definitely we expose our lab skill at large scale or industry level. For this purpose we need to have good literature. Some time external industrial experts came at college to give more knowledge about how all process is going through in industry.
The college was under Mumbai university but it is now autonomous and hence has its own curriculum.The faculty is very helpful and interactive.The college organises various industrial visit for students.Teachers also guide us for the outside career.
The course has been designed for four years. It follows an eight semester pattern. It has various subjects related to pharmacy. It prepares the students to carry out the research with ease and satisfaction.
The college is affiliated to University of Mumbai. This is very good and popular University, the course curriculum of this University is very well organised. Also this University paying special attention in upgrading and structuring the curriculum.
The course curriculum is structured for four years. It has eight semesters pattern. It helps to produce leader in pharmacy education, pharmacy training and research in pharmaceutical sciences for the country.
The college offers Graduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral programs in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Course Curriculum was very interesting. initially I felt difficulty in first semester but later I enjoyed learning. College organized internship for students.
The course curriculum is designed and organized in way it is helpful and not hectic for students. The exam are held in two ways mid term examination of 30 marks and end examination of 70 marks. The total subjects taught per semester are 4-5.
