Remarks :
The only thing I regret about my university is that it doesn't have a campus of its own. Doing any program in university finds a lack of coordination in the department. University is currently in the rented building spread throughout Gangtok city.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In my opinion, the curriculum is very good with enough faculties and friendly behavior, studying at SU is not less than fun. Working in the labs are also fun in itself. Talking about Exams, structure is hectic in teachers as well as students.
Placement Experience :
SU is also good for providing internships. There are lots of students who work in the best part of the country and are alumni of this institution. On the notice board, it always seems covered along with one or two internships.
College Events :
Starting from the annual fest, the university celebrates foundation day, cultural activities, sports events, inter College literary activities. Seminars, debates, and discussions, musical programs, etc with a big number of participation of students and teachers.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Talking about fee structure, it varies from department to department. As I am from Physics Department, it is around 6500 in the first semester and then around. 3000 in successive semesters. Which is quite feasible.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
University is also very good at providing scholarships to the finest but needy students. When I was in my graduation, I was offered by Ishan Uday Scholarship from UGC which was best. And I seriously don't have any idea about the loan facility.
Alumni/Alumna :
When I was talking with one of my seniors, with whom I used to stay, he told me that the facility I have got is the best faculty. Try to get maximum profit from them (in terms of knowledge). Sikkim University is the best University in the state.
Admission :
I forgot the date but it was in the first week of April 2019 when a notice was posted on the university bulletin board that the application for the MSC entrance exam in su is open. We surfed on www. cus. ac. in and filled the form and submitted it along with the payment. After that, in the 1st week of June, we had the exam. Passing the same and coming up in the merit list gave chance to get admission provided the students should also have good marks in prevailing exams.
Faculty :
Talking about faculty, they all are highly qualified, highly skilled training, and friendly. And their history, everyone in the department has been graduated and post graduated from best universities in India and abroad. And most of them had done their doctorate from abroad.
