I liked the faculty members of Sikkim University, Though the university campus is not yet set up but the faculty members they try their best to improve the department culture
I like the standard of studies in the university.

Dislikes

Though there is placement cell in the university but it is not active, which is the most necessary thing a professional student need but isn't available.
Since the permanent campus is still under construction, we think that campus was necessary for good social relations.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum of this course is quite good and is relevant and perfect for the growth of the management students. Well the preparation for the real world application is not as expected. The teachings methods must be more improved for better growth. And there should also be changes in the teachings methods. The tests and exams and preparations are conducted very frequently.

Class Size : 19Course Fees : INR 12920 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There is a compalsary internship program for the student's according to the syllabus. The duration for the internship is 2 months and the students need to look and application for the available internship by themselves. The stipend depends on the company in which the students get the internship opportunity.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell in our University is available but is inactivity. There for least of the students are placed through University. Sometimes only the company with vacant position available over sikkim comes for placement. So to get a job we need to prepare and struggle ourselves to get a well paying Job.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Since Sikkim University is a central university the course fees is not much, the course fee is 12920 per year. The other fees include exam fees which is 100 per paper and other required fees. When we re appear for our back paper the fee for back paper per paper is RS 500. Scholership are also available which provides 25000 per year to a student applicable.

Campus Life :

Every year fest is conducted by the student association in the university by the mid of the year. All kinds of books even e-books are available in the university and librery and is easy accessible. Smart boards are available in all tha classrooms. Sikkim University includes a student association named Sikkim University student association (SUSA) for which every term year election is conducted.

Admission :

The addmission process is through CUET. We need to appear for the Common Entrance University Test (CUET) and after the marks are our we need to apply for the preferred university according to our CUET marks and the selection is done based on merit list. There is 5% reservation for the students belonging to sikkim for addmission in sikkim University.

Faculty :

The faculty are well experienced and they try their best to give their most to the students by utilising the most of the resources available. The faculty members use lecture approach to deliver the most of the knowledge to the students. And the interaction between the faculty and students is very good and effective.

Interview Experience :

I faced all of these . Group discussion, a personal interview and also written test i.e, CUET exam for addmission in Sikkim University. I prepared according to the syllabus of the CUET exam and also solved the previous year paper and did self studies for the admission.

Learning with Challanges

Course Curriculum Overview:

Informative and excellent

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBA HRM is a good start for a career student-faculty ratio is 60:2. Lecturers are well qualified, and subject notes and readers are sent by the University before the commencing of the semester. Exams will be conducted on alternate days. All the topics covered in the textbook can score a good grade.

Placement Experience:

In the 4th semester, students could appear for placement in the campus interview. At that time many companies has come in which the IT sector, Retail sector, and Automobile sector were prominent. At least 80% of the students were selected and for those who were not, most students had their businesses and goals. Like I was also selected for the Export House before completing my MBA.

Remarks:

Near to my hometown, reputed and recognised college. Things that I like about the college is it's facilities for students such as 24hour electricity and wifi in the hostel, hot water facility. Most important safe and strict rules for both girls and boys. Other facilities like swimming, tennis, basket ball, gym, etc are available for the students.

Pursued MBA by correspondence

Admission:

My admission was based on the entrance exam of SMAT. I fill out the form online and my application was shortlisted. I chose to study an MBA course in correspondence because I want to be independent, so I worked and study at the same time.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell in our college works efficiently to place 100% of the students in the industries or companies. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Nestle, Bajaj Allianz, Accenture, etc visited our college and the highest salary package offered is around Rs.12 Lakhs.
