Being the Principal of this college, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
The principal serves as a captain in the field of education, guiding and leading the institution towards its goals and objectives. He/she is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality education to students. My philosophy of leadership revolves around strong decision-making abilities and a commitment to delivering a quality education to our students. I believe in leading by example and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. My leadership style is characterised by being proactive, approachable, and collaborative. I believe in empowering faculty and staff to contribute their expertise and ideas while also providing clear guidance and direction. This style ensures the cohesive and efficient functioning of the college.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the college and the students are?
My main responsibilities are to ensure the smooth functioning of the departments, maintain the quality of education delivered, guide both students and faculties and run the academics effectively and efficiently according to the management's norms. With the university offering eight courses, I prioritise my focus on academics by closely monitoring each department, ensuring that the curriculum is up-to-date and relevant, and providing necessary resources and support to both students and faculties. To ensure the quality of education, I regularly review the course content and teaching methodologies, conduct faculty evaluations, and encourage professional development opportunities for the faculty members. Additionally, I actively seek feedback from students and address any concerns or issues promptly.
How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?
As a Principal, I believe that, as the profession of teaching is centred around educating students and shaping them into good citizens, it is essential to build and maintain healthy relationships. I prioritise creating a friendly environment within the university where all students are treated equally and with respect. By building strong connections with students, they can better understand their needs, provide necessary support, and create a sense of belonging. Similarly, maintaining positive relationships with fellow faculty members promotes collaboration, teamwork, and a supportive work environment. By conducting regular meetings with students, I provide a platform for open communication. This enables students to voice their concerns, and we as a team can promptly address and resolve them. Timely action ensures that students feel heard, supported, and valued within the university community.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
In today's fast-paced world, it is crucial for students to stay motivated and committed to their goals. They can do this by regularly reminding themselves of their aspirations, surrounding themselves with supportive peers and mentors, and celebrating small milestones along the way. Additionally, finding a balance between work and personal life can help prevent burnout and maintain long-term motivation. Students should understand that taking shortcuts may provide temporary relief or immediate results, but it often hinders long-term growth and success. Instead, they should embrace the value of hard work, perseverance, and patience, as these qualities are essential for sustainable achievements.
