JEE Main Paper 2 Syllabus 2025 will be declared by NTA at jeemain.nta.ac.in. The syllabus consists of general aptitude and mathematics, similar for both B.Arch and B. Planning. However, drawing is only applicable for B.Arch and planning for B.Planning.
- In JEE Main Paper 2 2025 Syllabus, General Aptitude carries the maximum weightage. It has 50% weightage. This year, the weightage for drawing has increased from 25% to 30%. Mathematics has the least weightage (20%) in the whole syllabus.
- Due to the revision in the syllabus last year, topics like AGP (Arithmetic Geometric Progression) and binomial distribution were deleted from JEE Main Paper 2 Syllabus. However, the aptitude syllabus has remained the same.
According to JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Pattern 2025, B. Arch questions will have 82 questions. The exam is worth 400 marks, with a negative mark for each wrong answer.

How to Prepare for JEE Main Paper 2
Aptitude
General Aptitude in paper 2 holds the maximum weightage with 200 questions from this section. Only 100 marks will be asked from 2D-3D visualisation. The only strategy for this section you need to follow is a lot of practice. Here, we are attaching some sample question for your reference:
For the theory part you will have to follow a rote learning strategy. Paralleley try to solve questions from previous year’s papers.
Drawing
For drawing just focus on these topics below:
- Portraits
- Perspective Sketches
- 2D-3D composition
- Replicating Building and Designs
Sample Questions
Draw an aesthetic composition appropriate to this space using only cylinders. There are no restrictions to the numbers, sizes, placement, and directions of these shapes. Color this composition so that it becomes visually exciting. OR
Ques. Draw from imagination a gymnast doing exercise OR Draw from imagination a scene of school playground children playing OR Draw from memory your grandparents' face (In the space provided for the answer to this question)
Ques. Draw a composition with five geometrical shapes: a circle, triangle, square, rectangle, and hexagon. Each of the shapes is to be used at least once. The composition is to be coloured using a medium of your choice.
Maths
This Part is generally based on NCERT Syllabus. So just focus on the basics. Solve PYQs and give mocks to score better in this section.
