How to Register for CAT Examination in 2025?

The registration process is online and carried out at the portal, iimcat.ac.in. Firstly to register, students must provide their name, email ID, mobile number, residential address, and country. After successful OTP verification, captcha code filling, and submission, the registration ID and password will be generated. Is it Wise to Write Fake Work Experience on the CAT Application Form?

Amit Mahapatra, 2022 CAT qualified, enrolled at IIM Nagpur who was recently interviewed by our team when approached with such a question quoted “I am not the right person to answer this, since I haven’t tried it! But that is a good idea for those who don’t wish to appear for the CAT and are simply planning to take the test because they are being persuaded by their parents or peer pressure. Committing this act will save such candidates from CAT admission since they are likely to be blacklisted from taking any more attempts.”

How do the IIMs verify the work experience a candidate provides in the CAT Application Form? What proof do they need to submit?

The application form comes with a section asking about your work experience. If you do not possess any prior work experience that is ok, but if you do, that helps to create a good portfolio and interview impression.

The interview was online and he got the scope to explain the skills he acquired working in the family business catering to the textile industry’.

Will a CAT Application get rejected if a candidate uploads the signature vertically instead of horizontally, or a blurred image?

Orientation of the signature is not likely to have an impact on the application form acceptance, and the same applies in case of mistakenly uploading a blurred image.
