PGDM Admission 2024 is done on the basis of an entrance exam in top universities. Several institutes offer merit-based PGDM Admission 2024 also. Candidates must sit for a national, state, or university-level entrance exam such as CAT, XAT, TANCET, etc to seek admission to the PGDM course for the academic year 2024-2026. IIM Lucknow has released the CAT 2023 Results.
CAT Registration was ongoing till September 13 and the CAT exam was held on November 26, 2023. XAT is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur. XAT 2024 will be conducted on January 07, 2024, and the registration process will begin on July 15, 2023. IBSAT Registrations for PGDM Admission 2023 have also been concluded on December 20, 2023.
PGDM (Postgraduate Diploma in Management) is a 2-year professional course offered by top management colleges and universities. The course structure entirely focuses on providing practical knowledge of management and its theories. Many top institutes such as the IIMs in India offer PGDM as their management course.

PGDM Admission 2024: Entrance Exam Syllabus
Even though PGDM entrance exams differ from each other in terms of question pattern, weightage, and marking scheme, the basic syllabus for the PGDM Entrance Exams remains more or less the same and is listed below.

PGDM Admission Process 2024
Candidates aspiring to pursue the PGDM program should necessarily go through the entrance exams, conducted at national and state levels. The PGDM admission process for the 2024-25 batch has already started. Candidates can access the application form on the official website of the colleges they want to pursue.
PGDM Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should score at least 50% aggregate scores from a recognized educational institute.
- There is also a 5% relaxation available for the reserved categories.
- To get admission to the top PGDM colleges, including IITs, and IIMs, a minimum of 60% aggregate marks is needed.
- For specializations such as PGDM Executive, colleges demand a minimum of 2 to 3 years of working experience from the candidates.
How to Apply for PGDM Admission 2024?
- First, candidates can see the college they want to pursue and the entrance exam that it accepts.
- Next, they need to apply for the entrance, sit for it, and score past the cutoff marks to qualify.
- Then, the applicants will be able to apply at the official portal of the colleges, with inserting their entrance exam scores.
- A merit list will be issued on a particular date. If candidates find themselves on the list, they have to report being physically present at the college campus, or also they can report online. Seat allotment will be done accordingly.
PGDM Admission 2024: WAT- PI/ GD
Candidates who are shortlisted based on their merit in the entrance exams are finally selected for PGDM Admission 2024 via a procedure that includes WAT, PI, and a GD round sometimes.
- Candidates have to go through the WAT or Written Ability Test at the IIMs, along with the PI round (Personal Interview).
- In various IIMs, candidates have to go through the GD or group discussion round which takes place replacing the personal interview round
- The WAT/PI GD rounds are then followed by a counseling session.
