UPTAC 2026 Counselling Process
UPTAC 2026 Round 1 registration is now open. You can register at the official portal uptac.samarth.edu.in. The registration window is open from May 25 to June 15, 2026. You must complete all three steps — registration, document upload, and fee payment — within this window.
How to Register for UPTAC 2026
- Registration and Fee Payment: Visit the official portal @uptac.samarth.edu.in, register with your name, DOB, Email, and phone number.
- Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of all required documents during registration itself.
- Document Verification: The Central Document Verification Team checks your uploaded documents. After successful verification, you get a confirmation SMS or email.
- Choice Filling and Locking: After document verification, pay the counselling fee of INR 1000 and fill in your choices of colleges and branches in order of preference.
- Seat Allotment: The system allots seats based on your JEE Main rank, your choices, and seat availability. The allotment result is published on the portal under your login.
- Freeze or Float Decision: After allotment, you can Freeze (accept the seat and stop further upgrades) or Float (keep the seat but remain eligible for a better option in the next round).
- Seat Confirmation Fee Payment: Pay the seat confirmation fee online to lock your admission for that round.

UPTAC 2026 Seat Allotment
UPTAC 2026 seat allotment is done through an automated process.
- The system considers your JEE Main rank, your choice filling order, your category, and seat availability in each round.
- Higher-rank candidates get priority in allotment.

Freeze, Float, and Withdraw Options
- Freeze: You accept the allotted seat and do not want any further upgrades. Your admission is confirmed. You need to report to the college physically.
- Float: You accept the allotted seat but want to remain eligible for a better college or branch in the next round. If you get an upgrade, your old seat is cancelled automatically.
- Withdraw: You exit the UPTAC counselling process. Withdrawal is allowed in Round 2, Round 3, and Round 4. A partial refund is processed after deduction as per the refund policy.
Round 4 uses auto-freeze for all candidates. After Round 4, an internal sliding round is available for physically reported candidates who want a branch upgrade within the same college.

UPTAC 2026 Reservation Policy
UPTAC 2026 follows the reservation policy set by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
- Both vertical and horizontal reservations apply during seat allotment.
