- campus is 24 hour which is a very plus point about the university . Students can freely roam around outside and inside of the university especially for gils. University is so safe and they provide good security which make sure students are safe
- reading room provided for the students are so good and well maintained
Dislikes
- Security of the university is exercising more power . students can access any buildings or stadiums at night. they are closing down places that were open before at niht
- Mess food is the worst here food taste bland and unhygienic .authorities are closing their eye towards this serious issue as students are paying huge sum and eating f
Course Curriculum Overview :
Pondicherry University is the first preference for my course under CUET for many students. Teachers are well qualified and very experienced. but the course curriculum is little bit outdated. topics and subjects are repeated throughout the semesters. In PU you can select different softcores from other departments ,but department wont allow us to take softcores from other depatments there by forcing us to study thing that students are not interested. most of the subjects are repetative.
Internships Opportunities :
Last semester of my course is project and it is allowing us to go to different companies and do projects there. Department alawys inform us about diffrent internship programs and encourage us to participate
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee strucuture is around 44000 for 4 semesters . In first sem we paid 23000 and in 2nd sem it was 3000.For the last two sem fee is 17,270 . University is providing merit cum means scholarship for students who secure good marks . but if yiu are taking other government scholarships they denie this scholarship which is little unfair. Campus olacement is not there for our course but we can apply for placements that is common for all the students
Campus Life :
Overall infrastrure of the university is good but our department is the worst . Our department is working in the oldest building of the university . often we encounter with animals that are harmful. Softcore are a way for students to meet and interact with othr department students as univewrsity is so vast. It helps students to know about departments other than theirs and make a good social connections which is denied in my case.Departments arrange programsand every festivals are celebrated here grantely . in terms of sports , physical education department is a very strong department but a common sports event is not conducted till know. University have good indoor and iutdoor stadiums and student here are well active in social works. As university being a 24 campus students life here is very vibrant
Admission :
Admission process was through CUET entrance exam. I wrote two exams for same course. application fee was around 700 . I gave the exam after my ug . I got 200 marks in the exam and it was enough for me to get admission in any central universities under cuet. After applying for different universities i got admission in CUPB . AFter one month I got admission in PU in the second allotment under OBC reservation seat. First sem fees were very high here but admission procedures were very simple. But there very huge confussions in the date of physical admission.
