The facilities have a lot of experience and they teach quite good , they're very friendly, There are 9 to 10 or even more faculties for our class including all subjects , I particularly liked Sunitha ma'am ( teaches electrical) , her way of teaching is so niceee , she starts from scratch and gradually increases the level, and the time to time assignment questions given by her do help a lot ... There are 4 exams in a year....two semesters odd and even semester, in each semester theres is MST mid sem and EST end sem , I don't know the difficulty level of exam cuz am yet to give one but analysing the previous year papers one can say 70-80 percent questions are doable and come from class works related things

our annual techfest is Technovanza, culture fest is Rangavardhan, E-cell fest is Wallstreet. Technovanza is aspies 4th largest tech fest this is very exciting and lot of fun. There is a huge library with a lot of books needed for the college curicullum. but the library is open only up to 8 PM. all of the classrooms are digitally equipped, with a projector, smartboard, AC, wifi. we have a lot of sports like Cricket, basketball, table tennis, volleyball, football, badminton, carrom, and chess. but the in-house games have limitations they are only open between 9 to 5 and at the same time we have lectures. our student clubs are top-notch which are SRA, Technovanca, VR, Aero, COC, GDSC, Techno, Pratibimb, and E-cell. They are very supportive, you can learn and explore all the skills in these clubs.

Placement Experience:

VJTI's most highlighting point is the placements. you can be eligible for placements from your 4th year means the 7th semester, you can also apply for internships for the 3rd semester. all the top companies like Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Deshaw, etc came here. our highest package is 68LPA and the average package is 8.5LPA. All the students get placed in the college, some can prepare for tech placements from core backgrounds. I have to work on my own start-up after completing my degree, before that during the college period for work experience I am doing internships.

Top core companies like Reliance, Aditya Birla group etc. and software companies like TCS, Accenture, and cognizant come for placements. The average package is about 3-8 lakhs per annum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As per my rank, I got a textile engineering branch. At first, I was confused because it was a totally new concept for me. But the teachers helped us a lot. All teachers are highly qualified with M.tech degrees and PhD. Also, some teachers have studied in iit and nit. The teachers are very cooperative and helpful. Exams are held periodically. There will be two mid-semester and two semesters per year. The teachers help us study before the exam. Question papers are a bit tough but with the help of teachers, we can be ready for exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since in our first year, we don't start learning our course curriculum but are taught different courses of different departments and everyone learns the same thing, I haven't had a chance to interact with my faculty members much more often. Still, the courses we have been taught are very interesting and a bit hard too to grasp quickly the faculty members are nice and they clear our doubts about asking too. all the faculty members I have interacted with are top-notch and masters of their fields. The term exams have a strict schedule and usually, there's no delay as we have relative grading in some courses so there isn't much difficulty to pass but one cannot do it in a single day he or she has to be consistent and attend classes regularly.

Campus Life:

The college infrastructure is of good quality and well-maintained. The classrooms and the lecture hall complex everything has all the amenities one will require while studying. There is a sports complex and huge ground available for all kinds of outdoor sports. One can explore each and every sport and play a variety of sports. Since people from various parts of the country come here, so we get to learn all about their culture and lifestyles. People interact with each other and make new friends. We have a lot of events where we get to interact with others. There is a central library where all kinds of books and journals are available.

IIT Delhi UNLIKE POPULAR OPINION has a relatively light academic load. The institute and its setup give the students various opportunities to grow personally and holistically. We have a defined structure for different clubs. These include both technical clubs and cultural clubs. These clubs are run properly and are active yearlong with various competitions and events; both internal and external. Sports facilities are state of the art and we are provided with amenities for all sports. Each hostel has indoor sports including TT, Pool, Fusball etc. Each hostel also has a gym. The Cult. fest of IITD; Rendezvous is Asia's largest fest and sees a footfall of over 1,50,000. The technical fest Tryst also is one of the best in terms of events and engagement opportunities. All the clubs, college journals etc. are run by student boards.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did not choose Textile engineering. I wanted to get into IIT Delhi and Textile was the only branch for which my rank was enough so I chose that. I had no affinity for the course. The faculty is comprised of PHD scholars. All of them have published various papers. The student-faculty ratio is about 100:1. The teaching method is quite modern and has become even more so with the advent of COVID. The professor teaches with pre-prepared PPT Decks and animations. Whiteboard is seldom used. The first minor exams are 1.5 months post-start of the semester. Major exams are at the end of the semester at end of 4 months.

There is mainly 3 fest organized in my college. Rendezvous, litterati, trust. Tryst is tech fest. Litterati is a fest related to literature guy. RENDEZVOUS IS our annual fest, it is Asia's largest fest. These all are organized between Feb- Jul month. Approx all books are available in ou library. There are so many sports, some I know when I came here. There are many clubs run by students (actually all the clubs are run by students themselves) like BSP , BSW, OCS, drama, dance, and Hindi Samiti.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

I think fees are quite high, it is not good to make education not affordable. Although students whose family income is below 5 lakh easily available the scholarship. But I think this is unfair for the students whose family income is above 8 lakhs. The Board of student affairs of my college is really very helpful in providing scholarships. Also, OCS helps in getting a really good job.

I chose textile engineering because my rank in jee advanced is not enough to get the other courses at IIT Delhi. In my branch, nearly 100 students were enrolled and 9 faculty are there. Many TAs are also there to help students. All faculty are highly qualified. The teaching methods are unique and excellent. Every 2 months, either a minor or Major examination happens. The course is difficult and you have to attend regular classes to score well in the course.

Based on my jee main score cut-off, 3 branches were available for me. I chose textile engineering as my career as I found this interesting and wanted to learn new skills. My mother and grandmother used to knit clothes for us and seeing them I was very excited to learn this. During my school days, I didn't get a chance to learn so I decided to take textiles as there were subjects like weaving and knitting. The professor and faculty members were well-skilled and were always ready to help us with our needs. Due to covid pandemic, it was hard to get a job in a textile company so I decided to learn a few IT skills and later joined an IT company to start my career.

Campus Life:

There are various clubs that are running in the College actively where students are selected and explore their talent ranging from Electric & mechanical, coding to aerospace. The environment of the campus is ambient and although it is located at the prime location of the city, the college remains protected from the buzz of daily urban traffic. There are individual libraries in each branch, and a main common library which is accessible to all, containing almost all kinds of books. Classrooms are regularly maintained and besides that smart classrooms are present to facilitate the studies. Along with Academics, Extracurricular activities are also entertained like cricket, football, volleyball etc. and student regularly represent the college. Fest and Tech Fest are conducted every year around the month of February and March where various recreational activities are conducted along with visits of known personalities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for Textile Engineering as it is one of the major core branches of CET, Bhubaneswar (Now OUTR). The maximum strength that can be allotted in the branch is 60. Faculty available for teaching the student is highly qualified, having minimum qualification of M.Tech in Textile Engineering and/or Equivalent courses ranging to Post Doctoral faculties. Their teaching method is nice and the performance of branch in examination remains above par. In one academic year, semester exams are held twice, in which there is one mid-sem exam in each semester. The exams conducted by the college is fairly easy to pass for someone who is thorough and sound with the syllabus.

Ques. Is it a good choice to prefer IIT Delhi textile over IIIT Delhi CSE, considering the fact that branch change is quite hard in IITD?

● Top Answer By Sanjana Kapoor on 04 Oct 23

Ans. IIT Delhi has a much greater brand value as compared to IIIT Delhi. IIT D is superior in many aspects, one of which is campus life.  I have many friends in IITD Textile. They bagged foreign internships in the IT sector during their second year. The coursework for Textile is very manageable. You’ll get ample time to practice coding on your own. Don’t worry about branch change. Even for a career in CS/IT, self-practice will get you through. Also, opt for the open electives offered at IIT Delhi. You’ll ace CS/IT placement tests, and secure a good job. Thus, I would recommend you choose IIT Delhi Textile over IIIT Delhi CSE. Read more

Ques. Which is better, IIT Delhi Textile Technology or NIT Delhi CSE (considering I have a very high interest in programming)?

● Top Answer By Yash Mehra on 10 Apr 23

Ans. Both institutes are well known for their excellent education and opportunities offered. So you can choose the branch and college on the basis of your own preferences. However, some points you might want or consider Campus : NIT Delhi operates from a temporary campus which is located far away from the country and its permanent campus is still under construction. IIT Delhi on the other hand is a fully-fledged established Institute with a fully functioning well facilitated campus. Placements : Although Textile Engineering has very few core job opportunities, people tend to go for non-core jobs instead to secure a high-paying job at a top company. Meanwhile, NIT Delhi being younger than IIT Delhi has fewer companies visiting campus with CS roles despite being a demanded branch. If you are actually keen to pursue CSE, go for better Engineering colleges like NITs, DTU, NSIT, and IIIT D. In fact even at IIT Delhi, you can pursue your coding passion alongside your main branch textile and sit for IT placements. The final decision is yours to make and you can consider additional aspects like fees, location, and academics while making your decision.Read more

Ques. What should I take among IIT Delhi textile, IIT Kharagpur biotechnology, and IIT Guwahati engineering physics?

● Top Answer By Akriti Banerjee on 10 Apr 23

Ans. The choice of college and branch totally depends on your inclination and career prospects. Yet, a few pointers you might consider  For MBA/ non-core jobs/Startups: IIT Delhi Textile is the best choice if you are looking for any 3 of these options. Its excellent location provides enough exposure to give you access to unimaginable opportunities. Many events hosted by industry experts, CEOs of big companies, and successful entrepreneurs will give a better insight into the startup culture. Moreover, students preparing for competing exams can easily access coaching centers nearby. Research in Biotechnology: If you are interested in research in general or Biotechnology specifically, then the Biotechnology at KGP is an excellent choice. It is one of the most demanding fields in terms of research and general growth. With a good CGPA, you can find a research internship or you can apply for MS or Ph.D. Even job opportunities are plentiful.  Campus: IIT Delhi is better because of its small size and location Lastly, Engineering Physics from IIT Guwahati should be considered only if you are genuinely passionate about Physics and want to pursue a research career in the same. The curriculum comprises high-tech mathematical concepts and is a good option to pursue a career in economics and computer science.Read more

Ques. Which one will be better, textile engineering in VJTI or CS from KJ Somaiya?

● Top Answer By Suranjana Bhattacharya on 08 Jul 21

Ans. Out of textile engineering from VJTI and CS from KJ Somaiya, CS from Somaiya will be a better choice. As one of my friends studied there, I am able to share some facts about it. CSE is a trending branch and the most popular one. The best option for you will be KJ Somaiya. When it comes to placement at KJ Somaiya, they are decent. A total of 70 companies visited the campus for on-campus placements and offered great salary packages. The campus life at KJ Somaiya is amazing and is very welcoming. KJ Somaiya is an autonomous college and there are many advantages of being from a college with an autonomous status. Categories Textile Engineering at VJTI CS at KJ Somaiya Course Fee 3.24 lakhs 13.80 lakhs Highest CTC 18-19 LPA 23 LPA Average CTC 4-5 LPA 15 LPA Recruiting Companies Pantaloons, Raymond, Reliance, Amazon, etc. Capgemini, KPMG, Morgan Stanley, Wipro, etc. Choosing textile engineering from the VJTI can get a bit tricky further in your career. CSE is a much more reliable branch on which to focus your career. But if a person is interested in the textile branch and without any second thought, opt for VJTI, and if not then for KJ Somaiya.Read more

Ques. Which course is better for higher studies, textiles at IIT Delhi or chemical at IIT BHU?

● Top Answer By Prajukta Ghose on 06 Apr 23

Ans. Ranking-wise the preference order of the above-mentioned courses is  IIT Delhi > IIT Kanpur > IIT Roorkee > IIT BHU Based on their closing rank, the branches can be arranged in the following order  Chemical>Metallurgy>Textile  This was based on general data, but if you have an inclination towards a specific branch, then go for it without much hesitation. Your passion will keep you motivated despite various challenges thrown at you. But in case you have no specific preference, then you can consider the college and branch ranking to make an informed decision. Apart from CS and Electrical, students from most branches opt for non-core jobs which require much more than their core academics for placements. In that case, you can prefer IIT BHU over IIT Roorkee. Ultimately, the final decision is yours to make. Choose wisely considering various factors like location, friends, etc,Read more
