  • Some part of college is still not in perfect shape , they should improve infrastructure
  • I opted for hostel and have already paid fees in September but they are renovating the hostels still , I haven't got my room , they said the deadline was 22nd September but it been more than a month :(

Course Curriculum Overview :

In first year generally all branches students have same curriculum , like we too have subjects like electrical and physics , though there are 2 to 3 department related subjects in each branch for some basic information of the course to students , the exams are scheduled to be in November, December, march and may

Internships Opportunities :

As am in first year , I still don't have any idea about the internship offeres to seniors , but yes there was one I read in newspaper , our cs guy got 3lakh per month internship over a period of 6 months in a foreign based company

Placement Experience :

The highest package of textile branch was 18 Lpa given by Trident groups... and the average package was around 8.16 lpa, in textile branch out of 67 students 58 were eligible for placements and 43 got placed...

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The detailed fee structure for open category is as follows: tution fee -15000 Rs, development fee-39850 Rs,other fees-26000 Rs,exam fee-1500 Rs, deposit and caution money-2000 Rs,student insurance -701Rs, Alumini association life membership fees lifetime- Rs 500.....[TOTAL RS 85551] For rest categories the fees is as follows:- SC/ST/PWD :- Rs 4701 OBC/SBC/VJNT A] (Annual income<1.5lakh):- Rs 44,551 B] (Annual income btw 1.5lakh -8 lakh) :- Rs 70,551 EWS/SEBC :- Rs 78051 J&k migrants :- Rs 28701 There are a number of scholarships available in college and there's a specific department made for scholarships related purpose only

Campus Life :

There are a number of fests that are held in our college , like Technovanza , Enthusia, Nexus , Pratibimb. There are various sports competitions going on throughout the year , many interbranch competitions too but the major highlight is Enthusia the sports event which is usually held around February

Hostel Facilities :

Currently 4 people stay in one room , the size of room is not that big , they provide beds and 2 tables per room , there is no room for cupboard, mess food is quite decent , 3 meals provided per day and on sunday night the mess is closed, hostel fees is 22,000 Rs for a year and 44,000 for mess

Admission :

I choose this college and this branch (textile) because I felt at my percentile this was the only reasonable option, and I didn't have any kind of inclination towards any branch so I choose this , the admission process is quite good , it took me around 25 minutes for whole process completion, To get admission in VJTI one needs to attempt MHTCET exam and the cutoff for textile open category was around 95 + percentile I guess , I had 97.24

Faculty :

The facilities have a lot of experience and they teach quite good , they're very friendly, There are 9 to 10 or even more faculties for our class including all subjects , I particularly liked Sunitha ma'am ( teaches electrical) , her way of teaching is so niceee , she starts from scratch and gradually increases the level, and the time to time assignment questions given by her do help a lot ... There are 4 exams in a year....two semesters odd and even semester, in each semester theres is MST mid sem and EST end sem , I don't know the difficulty level of exam cuz am yet to give one but analysing the previous year papers one can say 70-80 percent questions are doable and come from class works related things

Students become eligible for placement from 7th sem but the training and stuff starts from 5th sem onwards. I don't really know much about the placements since I'm not planning on doing job after graduation and probably gonna do masters in the future.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So to be honest B.E course is a 4 years engineering course and it is not that easy and not too hard also. It needs a lot of focus, hardwork and practice to clear all exams. There are bunch of students who takes admission in B.E in first year but most of the students do back off in second year or some of them gets failed and gets an year drop. B.E course can be more efficient if we follow the teaching pattern like abroads. Less theory more practicals for students to understand properly.

From 7th and majorly form the 8th semester the students become eligible for the campus placement. Every year many companies visit our college like Goldman Sachs, Google, Infosys ,TCS , oracle, etc and offer a great amount of package to many students many students even get PPO. The highest package of this year was somewhere 61LPA and the average was 9 LPA. Somewhere around 82-83% students were placed this year and with good amount of packages My plan after getting the degree is pursuing a master's degree in abroad
