Course Curriculum Overview :
Since in our first year, we don't start learning our course curriculum but are taught different courses of different departments and everyone learns the same thing, I haven't had a chance to interact with my faculty members much more often. Still, the courses we have been taught are very interesting and a bit hard too to grasp quickly the faculty members are nice and they clear our doubts about asking too. all the faculty members I have interacted with are top-notch and masters of their fields. The term exams have a strict schedule and usually, there's no delay as we have relative grading in some courses so there isn't much difficulty to pass but one cannot do it in a single day he or she has to be consistent and attend classes regularly.
Internships Opportunities :
Since I am in the first year I don't have experience of the internship process. I would love to share it once I have seen it with my own eyes. We do have a lot of opportunities for internships in various sectors but I still have to uncover the mysteries.
Placement Experience :
After third-year students are eligible to sit for placements. a large number of companies visited the campus and offered a huge 1+cr domestic package. I haven't decided on anything since this is my first tear and I plan to enjoy it though I will research placements and talk to seniors and my mentor.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am a first-year student so theirs no job that I got. The fees are affordable compared to private colleges that I have researched before admission still it might be high for some. The institute provides a number of scholarships and financial assistance to those who need them. Based on the family the fees are divided into different categories which can be seen on the college website.
Campus Life :
The college infrastructure is of good quality and well-maintained. The classrooms and the lecture hall complex everything has all the amenities one will require while studying. There is a sports complex and huge ground available for all kinds of outdoor sports. One can explore each and every sport and play a variety of sports. Since people from various parts of the country come here, so we get to learn all about their culture and lifestyles. People interact with each other and make new friends. We have a lot of events where we get to interact with others. There is a central library where all kinds of books and journals are available.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facilities are good the mess is decent with a variety of dishes on its menu prepared considering hygiene protocols. Everything is maintained well and with care. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly and facilities like ROs, Washing Machines and clothes hanger, shelves, a bed, table, and chair is provided. We pay the hostel fees and a hostel is allotted to us for all 4 years of our stay. We submit a few documents and take our room keys from the guard desk. The hostel life with all the mates is full of adventures and fun.
Admission :
We had to take two national-level exams, the JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, as part of the admission process. In order to get admitted to IIT Delhi we must both qualify and receive a respectable rank. I received decent marks to get admitted to IIT Delhi Textile Department. After getting a JEE Advanced rank we apply through Josaa and submit a list of colleges consisting of all IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs in descending order of priority and then it allows us one college based on our rank. Then we have to go to college for physical document verification and after it, everything is almost done.
Other Applied Colleges
IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITM] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Naval architecture & Ocean Engineering)
It is very far from my home.
