Does JISCE provide any Special Classes for the Students?

Yes, we provide personality development and soft skills training to our students so that they can perform well in campus placement interviews. We also offer a foreign language class, which is held on Saturday.

How do I visit the JISCE Campus?

Fifteen-minute tours of campus, leaving from the Admission Centre, are available. Tours are held from Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at regular intervals. Contact the admission cell through the email/phone available on the official website.

Does JISCE provide help to the students for appearing in the interview?

The Department for Communication Skills and Personality Development has highly qualified and skilful faculty who provide Career Guidance and help students to enhance their employability skills. JISCE organises events that successfully bring both technical and presentation skills to the students to confidently speak their minds. Special workshops, seminars, presentations, guest lectures, mock interviews and many other such activities are organised for the students to develop their soft skills and prepare them for interviews.

JISCE offers admission into over 29 courses across its UG and PG programs. The college has 4 departments that accept online admission into their programs. All technical courses require a valid JEE Mains, WBJEE, JELET, WB JECA or JEXPO score, depending on the course.

The flagship B.Tech program admissions depend on a JEE Mains/WBJEE score within the admission cycle’s cutoff range, for regular entry. Since this year’s cutoff list is not out yet, the cutoffs for 2024 were between 40722 - 110473, varying with specialisation. For lateral entry, applicants require a Diploma with a minimum of 45% and a qualifying JELET score. The JELET 2024 cutoff was between 6395 - 8022.

The fee for the B.Tech courses ranges between INR 3.01 Lakhs and INR 4.08 Lakhs for the entire course duration, depending on regular/lateral entry. The general application fee fis INR 800 for the OC category and INR 400 for the reservation categories. An additional one-time Admission fee of INR 5000 is applicable at the time of joining.

JISCE cutoff lists for 2025 have not yet been released. The WBJEE and JEE Mains cutoffs for the 2024 B.Tech intake were in the 40722 - 110473 range. JELET cutoffs 2024 for the B.Tech lateral admission were between 6395 - 8022. The WBJECA 2024 Round 1 cutoff for admission into the MCA program was 3113. Ques. In what cases will I be given Provisional Admission at JISCE?

Ans. You will be considered for Provisional Admission in the following cases:

Non-submission of the Certificate of qualifying examination
Result Awaited in the qualifying examination
Backlog in the qualifying examination
Non-submission of an attested copy of Matriculation Certificate/ qualifying certificate/ residence proof/ any other document required for admission.
Nonpayment of the full Course Fee or any other fee as prescribed.
Pending verification of attested documents with their corresponding Original documents.

Ques. Does JISCE have an MBA in distance mode for working people?

Ans. No, JISCE offers regular, in-person attendance courses only. For continuing courses at JISCE, students need to maintain a minimum 75% attendance.

Ques. What is the fee payment process at JISCE?

Ans. An online payment facility is available, however, students and guardians may also pay through a demand draft.

To get into Engineering college we have to sit for either JEE Mains or WBJEE after clearing any of this, the rank will get you into sny of this course. During Couselling I got into AOT in Adisaptagram. But the distance from my house is quite far so my parents wanted me to get into any nearby college. So when I took admission in JIS College of Engineering, I got in with my WBJEE rank. The admission process went quite well. It was interesting as they asked why I wanted to choose this course out of all. The rank cutoff varies year to year. But a minimum rank is required to get in.

JIS College of Engineering offers BCA at the UG level. Admission to BCA is solely based on merit so there is no direct admission policy here. Candidates need to participate in the counseling process conducted by MAKAUT. The merit list is based on marks scored by candidates in Class 12.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for this program, candidates must have completed Class 12 with English and Computer Application/ Mathematics/ Informatics Practices/ Computer Science/ Statistics from a recognized board.

Hostel Fees: JIS College Of Engineering charges hostel fees of 5500/- per month which are payable Quarterly. Additionally, the one-time admission fee is INR. 5000. So, the total amount payable at the time of joining the hostel is INR 38000. The hostel fees for one semester are therefore 5500 X 6 months = INR. 33000 + Admission fee INR 5000.
