Academy of Technology, Hooghly offers admission to students on the basis of scores obtained in entrance exams.
Admission to B.tech is based on JEE Mains/ WBJEE while, for lateral entry admission to B.tech course, one must have a JELET score. MBA and MCA Admission is done through MAT/ JEMAT and JECA respectively.

You are eligible once you clear the WBJEE or JEE MAINS with a good rank (specific to department you choose)and your overall marks are 70%(as if you want placement most company's criteria is 70% and some even demand more. The application can be found online in the college website and also if you wish you might go to the campus to do so. The admission process is already top notch the want you to provide the best but as students are more you might find yourself waiting for some time

- The campus is very beautiful. There is a lot of space and a large pond too, which allows cool breeze to flow all year round.
- The faculty is very disciplined. They always arrive the classes on time.

- The attendance criteria is really strict and mostly bans from examination if attendance drops below 75%
- Restrooms are not cleaned properly in all the buildings.

You can take admission through WBJEE, JEE mains or directly through management quota. I took admission in thid college via WBJEE. To pursue CSE in general category, your rank should be roughly within 13000. To take admission in ECE it should be within 22000.

The eligibility of the course is to attempt Joint Entrance Examination(WBJEE) and pass it with a good rank. I found the application form on a college campus. I took admitted in the year 2021. At this time, our application fee is 64,700.

The cut-off is normal. For cse it was 14k for ECE. it was 20k for EE. it was 30k for EEE it was 40k for csbs it was 20k. so the cut-off is ok. The frequency and timing of exams are difficult to do.

Admission are takes in July or August month from through the WBJEE exam and councilling and also some seats are preserved for JEE mains councilling process. Also direct admission in the EEE and mechanical department with any donation.

- Teaching program in AOT is really good.All the teachers here are highly qualified and many teachers are from IITs, NITs and even MITs.The teaching material they provide and through their lectures help us easily understand our subjects.
- The college infrastructure is well made and also well maintained.AOT provides us labs for our different subjects equipped with fully functional up to date lab equipments available for everyone.The lab teachers are knowledgeable and cooperative.
Dislikes
- The main thing I dislike about AOT is that is gives us too much pressure for academics. Doing daily assignments and classwork leaves us no time for skill development which is essential for BTech.
- The makaut syllabus is very vast for us to complete in a small amount of time.

The first year fee is INR 1.13 Lakhs, 2nd year fee is INR 82,000, 3rd year fee is INR 84,000, and 4th year fee is INR 86,000 for the BTech in CSE course at the AOT, Hooghly. The total fee is INR 3,65,000 for the Btech CSE course. Candidate should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination of W.B.Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other recognized Board or University conforming norms stipulated by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.
