The National Service Scheme or NSS contains over 40 volunteers and they have devoted their time for social service that will help in the development of the community. The volunteers take part in different National Level Camps and Republic Day Parade Camp.

The Student's Union has been introduced in college which consists of a group of democratically elected students. It consists of several departments like cultural departments, magazines, and literature departments, common room department, games, and sports department, student welfare and social welfare department, Bijan Parishad department, and so on.

The college has a Yoga center that is managed by a qualified trainer called Sri Niroj Das every Monday. The college also organizes Athletics Meet and has been extremely successful at various State level and District level competitions. Mahishadal Raj College offers UG courses in B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com/ BCA (Honours/ General) programs. B.Sc. (Honours) program has eleven specializations, B.A. (Honours) program has nine specializations and B.Com (Honours) program has Accountancy as a specialization. The duration of every UG program is three-year.

The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to any UG (Honours/ General) program is HSC/ 10+2 with minimum 45% marks in aggregate and pass in the respective subject (as per the requirement of the course) with minimum 50% marks.
