Established in 1926, Prabhat Kumar College is one of the oldest colleges in India. It has been recently re-accredited in 2014 by Nationals Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) of University Grants Commission (UGC). This college is located in Midnapore, West Bengal.

The college provides financial assistance to the students who are financially weak & cannot afford high fees but are talented. Usually, this scholarship is availed by the students who come under BPL section. It doesn’t mean that students who don’t come under that section of the society cannot get the scholarship. To get admission in MA (English) in Prabhat Kumar College, one must have to score more than 60% in graduation level in English and then he will be qualified based on the numbers of available seats. You must have 60% number in mathematics in 12th exam. It's application from is available on Prabhat Kumar College's official website. Application fees was about 500 rupees. And the application start after the result of 12th exam. It's have 5% reservation of total seats. It's a good going process and didn't face any problem when I fill up my form. It's been 6 years, now they must improve their sites i wish students can easily fill their form by themselves.

Our eligibility for this course was 50% marks in the 12th class. We found the form on the college website after the 12th class result. Application fees were Rs. 500. There were 7 days for the application after the 12th class result.
