Law as a course has developed throughout the years and there are only a few shortcomings in the studying aspect of it. Law, in a broad sense, can be applied to almost each and every problems that citizens of India face, be it corporate law, criminal, civil law. In an even broader sense, there is Constitutional law. A major fault in the teaching and course is the excessive teaching of landmark judgements and lesser number of moot courts which in practice might land young lawyers in trouble coming from the judiciary since they're just too much aware of different landmark judgements but not the cases/context behind it. Mainly, four exams are held which concern the actual marks- Internals and Externals. First internal and external is typically held on January or February and Second internal and external during July or August.
I choose this college as it the best college in my area and I stay close to this college so this was also a factor seen by me while deciding the college. Student ratio per class is not much so the teacher can give individual attention to each and every student and can clarify all the doubts. You must qualify you 10th and 12th with atleast 85% marks in aggregate if you really want to pursue law as your career. Semester system is followed so every 6 months there's an exam and then the syllabus changes
Course curriculum is very constructive & student friendly. The 5 years course is divided into 10 semester. Each semester has an internal exam carrying 20 marks and followed by an external exam carrying 80 marks. There are 5 papers in a semester up to 5th semester and after that 4 papers for pass students & 6 papers for honours students. It is the course curriculum & exam structure of our college.
The course curriculum is fine.A variety of subjects have been aptly distributed over 6 semesters. The exam structure is as follows- Theory- 80 marks Internal Assessment- 20 marks Theory Paper- 4 Units having 2 questions each, out of which one is to be attempted each carrying 15 marks. And one compulsory question carrying 20 marks covering all the 4 units.
Very feasible. The fee structure is a person the Government regulations as this is a campus that is aided by the UGC. The fees are very nominal. Everyone can afford that. Also, there are various schemes for Meritorious and Backward Class students.
