About JSL
Jyotirmoy School of Law is an initiative of Jyotirmoy Education & Welfare Foundation established in the year 2003. The School aims at providing quality education and attracts the students throughout the country chosen after a rigorous examination conducted in accordance with the syllabus of the University of Calcutta. The main reason behind the induction of this school was to bridge the gap between the required and the acquired skills and also to improve the stature of legal education with the help of Bar Council of India. The Jyotirmoy School of Law has embarked on a mission to develop a Model Law School, which could visualize the societal needs and carry its mission to make significant contribution in the realm of legal education and research.

The course curriculum is fair. Colleges provide the materials and also suggests sites for more help. The course covers our graduation plus post graduation syllabus making it more bearable and only for 5 years.

All the faculty members are good.But it is essential to thank Wasif Reza Molla sir.He teaches us Family Law.The effort he puts into teaching us is praiseworthy. He makes sure each and every student of the college understand his subject. In this pandemic situation also he didn't compromise with the quality of his teaching he gave us proper guide and he made power point presentation for each and every chapters which were innovative and easy for us to grasp the chapter.
Admission:
Jyotirmoy School of Law, affiliated to the 'University of Calcutta' and registered by 'Bar Council of India'. Admission is taken by entrance examination of the University of Calcutta for five years B.A.LL.B course, and merit list is published after the examination. It takes almost three months to complete the procedure of admission from June to August. The campus is situated in a completely natural environment, lush greenery, and homely atmosphere especially the college canteen. It has Moot Court Room, Library, Legal Aid Clinic The college takes initiatives on Environment Day, Yoga Day, Republic Day, Food Festival. The special interest of all the students is in December, which is ANWESHAN an International law Festival as well as college annual fest. Course syllabus is good for the student. My college faculty is good. They are helpful, co-operative. Our college is under the Calcutta University so it follow Calcutta University rules. Our teachers are well educated. But Calcutta University law department fully arounded by politics.

Ba llb follows semester system and has a duration of 5 years. There course structure is good and focuses on a lot of research and practicals. The days are generally hectic and exams too are very tiring.
Placement Experience:
The students of our college have interned with top Indian law firms, leading lawyers, prominent judges, and a diverse collection of NGOs which are provided by the college. The campus placements are also very good. Almost 80% of the students get placed with an average package of Rs 5-6 lakhs per annum.

The course curriculum is good and well designed.It is a 2-year course with six semesters. The teacher provides us with the whole curriculum in the beginning. the curriculum also includes assignments, projects, seminars etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities:
As a private Institute, fees structure is high in our college.My total course fees 4,25,000/-.I paid fees in instalments.There were other expenses also.
