In terms of course one can compare that to any top universities as we have course which is exactly similar to them. I have referred books from BITS and IITs and what we are taught us exactly what they are taught. Our labs are well equipped with latest computers and all the latest softwares to make sure we stay updated and learn the latest methods of computer engineering.
I chose this course as computer engineering was my field of interest. The faculty is nice there is ample faculty for students. The ratio is quite balanced. The faculty is qualified adequately. Some faculty are highly qualified. The teaching methods are satisfactory. The exams were conducted in a timely manner. The difficulty depends on how well you understand the subject. I passed quite easily.
Engineering was the one and only course I wanted to do right from the moment I passed out hssc as I was pretty much interested in software development. Faculty to student ratio is bang on target but quality of teaching per professor is poor. Even though most of them are highly qualified and experienced on paper, I found teaching of unexperienced professors (new) to be a lot better. Examinations are well conducted adhering to the laws put forth by GOA University.
Expensive. The fees are about 75000 per semester now and the infrastructure provided compared to the fees the college charges isn't good enough. The college doesn't have it's own ground. The college barely facilitates the participation of students in sports. However, the new principal has taken interest and is slowly trying to change this.
If compared with GEC, the fee structure of PCCE is expensive. But it is feasible. The fee on an average is 50,000 -55000 per semister. But the fee can be attributed to the good faculty, infrastusture, laboratories, location etc. Examination fee for each semister is extra which is around 1000 to 2000. I dont remember the exact figures.
