What students say about Johns Hopkins University

Likes

  • The course syllabus is mostly the same as in past years, but every year professors update their own knowledge and teach students about new advancements in the field.
  • The pre-professional office offers resume services, advising for graduate school, and programs tailored to career opportunities as early as freshman year.
  • Outside of the scholarship, I have received a full scholarship from the university that covers all of my expenses.
  • We have a very good infrastructure, and the campus is beautiful. Along with this, we have various clubs, including the Product Management Club and the Consulting Club.
  • The university does not provide any accommodation for graduate students; we need to rent apartments on our own.
  • You can ask them doubts as many times as you want, and they will try to clear them for you.
  • At the time, I thought that I wanted to be a doctor, and Johns Hopkins Hospital had such a great reputation that I believed the university would prepare me to become a skilled physician.

I choose this for Locations and program curriculum, brand value, tuition fees, total cost. Very good experience considering education and training. Could improve on infrastructure and more placement activities.

  • Dislikes:
  • Most of the courses are online including few lab courses which are hybrid (online theory and practical in person lab work). Sometimes that becomes an issue for selecting courses for international students specifically as they cannot choose a subject that they like to maintain their student visa status.

My overall experience was good. I got to work part time in 3 different labs at the university and gain knowledge of new skills and techniques used in research.

  • Dislikes:
  • The things which I don't like about University is the information is not available easily, the person who don't know the exact url or the location won't be able to access the website or the resources available, this can be improved according to me

The overall experience in the university is very good be it the campus infrastructure, the overall curriculum, the faculty.
