- Good program and brand value.
- The fusion of cultures and the curriculum of the program. The people are friendly, and the social clubs that it offers is very admirable since it offers a collaborative environment. The proximity to the city is also convenient since its easy to access other factors other than the academic world.
Dislikes
- The duration of the program wish it was longer. My graduate program was only 1 year so I wish there were more research assistantships and TA positions available. The career services could be more useful.
Overview
Good experience, a lot of like minded people but wish there were more networking events.
Campus Life
Lots of clubs but would have been nice if it was more accessible to graduate students as much as the undergrad students.
Overview
I heard about Penn from some of my friends who were older than me. I only applied to Penn and Princeton, and Penn was my first choice because I have just heard so many wonderful things about it. I thought if I didn't get into Penn during its early decision round, I would apply to Princeton during regular decision.
Fees
I did not apply to any loans or scholarships but I had friends who reached out to Penn in order to find out more about their various financing options and which organizations would accept scholarship applications from international students. Some students also received a lot of funds through Penn rather than from outside sources.
Overview
Good scholarship, ivy league so a lot of connections and opportunities not available from other local colleges, great diversity in the college so I won't feel out of place, close to my home so I can visit my friends and family with ease.
Fees
Over 70,000 a year for tuition and board. There are technology fees for each school, dining plan fees.
Overview
I chose it because of the research group. I was interested in doing theoretical mechanobiology.

Penn has a large infrastructure dedicated to sports facilities, there are olympic size pools and multi storeyed gym for students.

Campus Life
The campus is very lively with diverse communities. There is atleast one event everyday, making student interactions very evident. There is nothing that is not available at Upenn, be it a supercomputer or be it a mere 3D printer, and that too free of cost for the students.
