Overview
I choose this for Locations and program curriculum, brand value, tuition fees, total cost. Very good experience considering education and training. Could improve on infrastructure and more placement activities.
Campus Life
No library on campus for Business school, no sports as well. We need to visit the other schools in university for such activities.
Likes
- I was interested in stem cell research and I got to choose Regenerative and stem cell technology as my concentration for my masters program.
- Since I was in the field of Biotechnology, research is the main reason I joined Johns Hopkins University (JHU). JHU is highly reputed as a research institute with various facilities that help students pursue their interest in research and train them with skills required in the industry nowadays. I also like that mostly all the professors have a PhD degree and have knowledge in their field which they can convey to students through lectures and seminars.
Dislikes
- Most of the courses are online including few lab courses which are hybrid (online theory and practical in person lab work). Sometimes that becomes an issue for selecting courses for international students specifically as they cannot choose a subject that they like to maintain their student visa status.
Overview
My overall experience was good. I got to work part time in 3 different labs at the university and gain knowledge of new skills and techniques used in research.
Campus Life
There are several organizations and clubs that organize various events for students. There are events where students can participate and showcase their talent. The library is the best place for studying in campus as it has books on different subjects. There are study rooms where a group of students can work together on a common project. The campus also has open spaces around the campus where students can sit and study peacefully without any disturbance.
Likes
- Immersion Program, Flexibility of Course selection, project based learning.
- Its Reputation along with flexibility of program, in which we can take courses from different department and also the courses here are project based so get to learn while working on projects, other important thing I like is the immersion program
Dislikes
- The things which I don't like about University is the information is not available easily, the person who don't know the exact url or the location won't be able to access the website or the resources available, this can be improved according to me
Overview
The overall experience in the university is very good be it the campus infrastructure, the overall curriculum, the faculty.
Campus Life
We have very good infrastructure and campus is beautiful along with this we have various clubs in it including the Product management club, Consulting club.
Overview
JHU is among the top 10 Universities in the world in chemistry, their chemistry program is very broad and versatile.
Fees
It’s $57000 for 12 months
Overview
Johns Hopkins University is one of the top colleges in the world for biomedical sciences. Getting a master's degree from such a prestigious university will be an added asset to my career. It is very important to choose the right college for a specific area of study.
Fees
I pay 40,000 USD per annum
Overview
Pre-Medical Program and also the flexibility to take classes outside of the core curriculum with the need to only fill bucket requirements. Additionally, it's in the city so ease of access to various food and entertainment.
Fees
Tuition, room and board, and outside expenses. Tuition is 72000 per student approximately and most of us get some sort of grant at least like 2000.
Overview
Primarily ranking, opportunities, major, discipline, professors, had a medical school. JHU has an extremely high # of students who get into medical school also. It also was one of the few schools that I got accepted into.
Fees
I'm not completely sure, but scholarships are not that generous and I'm paying approx $70,000 for my tuition right now even though we are upper middle class.
Overview
The diversity of premed resources including a close hospital with ample undergraduate research opportunities, shadowing and clinical volunteering, and strong pre-professional advising experience getting people into medical school.
Fees
Tuition runs 50-60k depending on whether you have on campus meal plan/residence. Other charges include printing, pre-professional advising, tutoring, etc.
Overview
The prestige mostly. At the time I thought that I wanted to be a doctor and Johns Hopkins Hospital had such a great reputation that I thought the university would prepare me for being a good physician.
Fees
Hopkins was extremely expensive. For the first two years, you are required to live on campus and have a meal plan in which those two things alone added up to just under $20,000 a year. When you add that to the tuition and the cost of books and the lab fees it gets very expensive.

PhD intakes can vary between universities and even between different programs within the same university. While many universities offer PhD programs with intakes in the fall semester, some also have intakes in the spring or other times of the year. The specific start dates for spring PhD intakes will depend on the academic calendar of the university offering the program.
To find out when the spring PhD intake starts for a specific university or program, you should visit the university's official website or contact the relevant department or admissions office directly. They will be able to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding application deadlines and start dates for their PhD programs.
No September intake detail is available on John Hopkins University's official website. But you can apply up to November 1 for taking admission in 2023 session.
