Northwestern University Scholarships
Scholarships for Indian students are competitive, but merit-based and need-based options exist. The chances of receiving a scholarship are very low in recent years. However, one rare exception that we found is the story of an Indian student, Ankita Mukhopadhyay, at this university. She received a departmental scholarship for studying Masters in Journalism at Medill School of Northwestern. Factors such as work experience, quality of SOP, and interview performance made her win the scholarship. As there is negligible financial support from the university, we have given below certain Indian scholarships to study in USA:

- Northwestern university is one of the prestigious universities in Mid West. People recognise the name the moment you mention it.
- The flexibility to take elective courses across schools makes it a great place for people with broad interests.
- Northwestern’s lakefront location provides stunning views and there are plenty of spots for both study and chilling.
Dislikes
- Northwestern’s academic rigour is very high, and the workload can be intense. The quarter system, which divides the academic year into four ten-week terms, can feel fast-paced, with constant exams and assignments.
- Since it’s a private university so the tuition is high.
- The winters are harsh in Evanston making the cold very difficult to bear.
Campus Life
- There are a total of 3 campuses, one in Evanston, one in Chicago, and the other in Doha, Qatar.
- There are 3 libraries which are huge : Deering, Main library and Mudd Library
- For sports, there is Henry Crown, which has arenas for all the popular sports like basketball, tennis, swimming pools, etc
- There are multiple events that keep happening around the year.
- There are a lot of clubs for international students that help in building the community and celebrating festivals together.
Fees
- The overall fee is around $70k, which is quite high. The breakdown is based on credits taken in each quarter and hence needs to be paid quarterly.
- Since I live a little far from university, I’ve taken the CTA pass, which gives access to all CTA transportation for $125 for 3 months. My monthly rent is around $650, and my expenses come around $150-200.

Overview
Got into an honors program called MMSS, which has a campus but still within the city parameters of Chicago, great academics, top 10 ranked school, good student life including athletics, clubs.
Fees
60000 USD
Overview
First, I'm a Questbridge Scholar who matched with Northwestern, so I was required to go here by contract. I ranked it because I thought it offered so many different opportunities, because of its location, emphasis on not limiting yourself to one area of study, etc. People at Northwestern were kinder and so willing to help me out/answer any questions during my tour, which made me feel right at home.
Fees
Tuition, room, board, and other fees total to about $68,000 per year. Tuition makes up most of the cost of attending, but room and board are also substantial. All students are required to live on campus for at least 2 years.
Overview
Great Brand, low student faculty ratio. Direct connect with Kellogg school of business and this is one of the best MEM program in USA. It also has one of the lowest acceptance ratio
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure is great. Please check YouTube videos by NU which will help you get the real peek into it.
Overview
Top 5 for MEM, has a good quarter program & faculty is from Kellogg
Campus Life
A lot of extra curricular & club work going on Campus infrastructure & environment is top notch
