Placement Experience:

The placement for the university was very good. Many top companies come to the university and the average package is 14lpa for cse department .so the percentage of students getting placed is 70 to 80% and the remaining are commenting for higher studies. My plan after getting my degree is to study MBA.

a student's point of view for SNUC

Placement Experience:

From semester 4, students become eligible for placements. This also depends on their academic as well as extracurricular life. The companies and firms will be discussed in the next few months as the founding batch will be the first to witness this. The highest in SNUC's sister college, SSN, was above 1C and SNU hopes for the same. Above 90% of students got placements.

Likes

The campus is very beautiful and huge. It's very peaceful in the evening to walk around with friends. There are 3-4 canteens where you can find variety of foods for a decent price.There are many good Streets and restaurants nearby to hangout.
The sports infrastructure is great. Badminton courts are well maintained. Basketball court is huge. There is tennis court, volley ball court, squash, Table tennis area.

Dislikes

There is a curfew for boys and girls. Girls intime is 8:30pm and boys intime is 10pm.

Internships Opportunities:

People have received internship opportunities from Motorq, paypal, HCL and many other companies. Motorq offered a whopping 1cr package and other companies also offered decent stipends.Since the placements for the first batch hasn't taken place yet as the college started in 2021, the placements details are not clear yet but the internships are going well with the number of applicants appearing for the entrance exam increasing every year.

Overview of life at SNU Chennai

Likes

Importance is given to both to extracurricular and curricular activities. Focus is given on an all round development. Faculty members are all very qualified and are skilled in terms of how they teach.
We have Lab session attached with non theory courses which help us use what we learnt in real life. Students are allowed to collaborate with professors.

Dislikes

Most students are from in and around TamilNadu, so exposure in terms of students from different places would be less likely to happen.

Placement Experience:

Most students here have an idea of pursuing a master's degree right after graduation. Almost all of our seniors have gone for paid/unpaid internships by the end of their third year, to companies like HCL, PayPal, MotorQ, etc.
