Shiv Nadar University, also known as SNU Noida is a private university established under Shiv Nadar Foundation. According to NIRF 2023, SNU is ranked 62 among universities and ranked 95 overall in India. Founded in 2011, the university is well-known for its B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and M.Sc programs. Currently, the university offers 20+ UG, PG, Doctorate and Diploma courses under Management, Science, Arts and Research streams. SNU Noida Facilities

Hostels: The residential student hostels are state-of-the-art as well as gender-segregated. All rooms have basic in-built utilities and are designed as a comfortable independent unit. Each hostel is fitted with water coolers fitted with RO and purifiers, a pantry on the ground floor, microwave ovens, and other facilities. All rooms and washrooms are well-fitted. The lady’s washroom is designed well and feminine hygiene has been kept in mind. All the common areas of the hostels are Wi-Fi enabled. Both AC and Non-AC accommodation are provided for the students. The AC accommodation is provided on a first-come-first-served basis.
Library: The university has a centrally air-conditioned plush library that offers an extensive collection of books, scientific and technical journals, as well as electronic reference materials that satisfies the academic and research needs of students and the faculty community. The library also offers online facilities like Library Catalogue, Journals/ e-books, Repository, Resource Sharing, Thesis, and dissertations as well as E- Newspapers.
Transport: Transport services are provided for students and all members of the staff to facilitate travel to the city and any neighboring places during weekends. The services are provided to the students on a first-come, first-served basis.The student transport committee plans and manages this service, whereas the time for the bus service is decided based on demand and seasonal conditions.
Cafe: The central library building consists of a cafe that serves as a common area for the faculty members and students to interact over hot sumptuous food outside the classroom. The cafe also offers a variety of food, snacks, and beverages for a quick bite in-between meals.
Dining: The university offers several types of cuisines from all 27 states. There are two large Dining Halls (DH 1 & 2) that helps cater to the cultural and food preferences of students. The highest standards of hygiene consciousness are kept in mind. The dining areas are also well–furnished and fully equipped. Apart from the two main Dining Halls, there are also standards of hygiene consciousness and a food court in the main academic block; a cafe in the central library building and a variety of snacks are sold by the kiosks at the hostel block. The student-elected mess committee and the University administration closely monitors the quality of food served on campus.
Safety and Security: The safety and the security of its students and faculty members are taken very seriously by the university. The entire campus is constantly being monitored by a multi-tiered, 24X7 security system. The Campus Security Team is also on duty for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as well as 365 days in a year which also includes holidays and academic breaks. The security personnel patrols the campus round-the-clock. High definition CCTV cameras monitor the academic areas, hostel blocks, and residential areas on the campus. Access to the campus is also strictly controlled.

Ans. All students are required to attend the classes in every registered course. A shortfall of not more than 15% is allowed in each course. The student may be condoned for attendance shortfall beyond the regular amount of 15%. This is however not beyond a total shortfall of 25% which may be due to medical or duty leave.

The location is a big factor for some people and the university is placed in a inconvenient location as there is not much around it

Admission:

For my course the eligible criteria is 70% aggregate in CBSE and for International baccalaureate which I took is 28. There are 3 ways you can apply 1) you can give the SNUSAT, once cleared there is a person interview taken. 2) if you have given SAT you can apply with those marks and if eligible will be taken for a personal interview. 3) same for, if you have given the ACT. They also do ask for undertaking of a anti-ragging form and a undertaking from guardian which is IMPORTANT and are very strict about. The exams only take place 2wice, mid-term and end-term but depending on the professor you can have multiple quizes sort of tests or assignments too. I don't think there is any issue with the admission process. Just remember to check the SPAM email thoroughly as the acceptance letter does get lost in there.

The faculty is actually top class, the Institute actually give a lot of preference and priority to the professional professor.

Not gonna lie its actually kinda tough to make into this collage.
Very strict poliy regarding attendance (75%)

Admission:

First you must have scored above 70% in board in the core 3 subjects ex-pcm, my jeet%le was 90.82 and i got ece, well if your percent is low you can also give SNSUAT, collages own admission paper just like bitsat. (Imp-its not that easy). If you visit the campus they will give you a campus tour take you through everything in the campus. Exams are tough for me though it might be easier if you study har, though I am able to maintain a good score in the course.

The things that I Liked about the college were ambience, focus on studies etc.

Admission:

We had to take an admission test, based on which results we were alloted our preferred streams The application form is available on the college's official site. The dates to apply are around January to March. The exam was held in 2 slots, where I gave the exam in 2nd slot. The exam was for 2-3 hours, and the difficulty was moderate.

Admission:

I came through JEE marks for which I got a scholarship for merit cum means. It didn't require me to give sunset as JEE itself was sufficient. So it is a very straightforward process people who get good marks get admission here and there is no management quota.

Fees is too high, not everyone can afford it.
Connectivity of the college is not good and cabs are also expensive.

Admission:

There are many kind of admission process, through jee sat and Sunday(entrance exam). I wrote snusat which was conducted in an online platform. It was an online proctured exam and I scored good marks and admission letter was offered to me after result was declared.

There was an entrance exam to the college and along with marks scored in the SNUSAT JEE mains marks as well as some percentages from class XII were taken into consideration. Apply online on www.snu.edu.in A special sports quota is available and there is a scholarship for rural background students

The campus is really pretty. It is very green and beautiful.
The library is centrally air conditioned and is a very relaxing place to be in.

Dislikes

The placement outcomes are not what you would've hoped for.
Due to the location, it is very annoying to travel 3 hours to be in central Delhi.

Admission:

I took the SNUSAT, a test administered by the university itself. Eligibility: Science stream in school Application fees and dates are all available on the website of the college itself. The form is on the website and applications start in June and go on till August.

The campus life is very vibrant and there is always something or the other going on in campus for students to blow off their steam.
There are a lot of opportunities provided by the university. There is an Atal Incubation centre that helps incubate start up ideas. The CDC helps students irrespective of their year of study find internships

Dislikes

The exams and assignments become overwhelming the frequency with which its held
The campus is in the middle of nowhere so going to delhi is about a 2 hr drive

Admission:

The eligibility criteria for sitting for the exam for economics were board marks above 75% and mandatory mathematics till class 12. I had to give 2 exams in total. One of which tested mathematics, logic, and English. There were 2 different sections for mathematics. After that, there was another exam for essays in which we were given 3 topics and had to write on all 3. After clearing the exams there was an interview round for the shortlisted candidates.
