Likes
- The campus is very beautiful and huge. It's very peaceful in the evening to walk around with friends. There are 3-4 canteens where you can find variety of foods for a decent price.There are many good Streets and restaurants nearby to hangout.
- The sports infrastructure is great. Badminton courts are well maintained. Basketball court is huge. There is tennis court, volley ball court, squash, Table tennis area.
Dislikes
- There is a curfew for boys and girls. Girls intime is 8:30pm and boys intime is 10pm.
Admission:
I primarily chose this college because of the unique curriculum provided here. When I visited and compared the curriculum with different colleges I realised that they have to study all the common engineering subjects in their first year such as mechanical,civil etc even if you are from CSE background which is not the case in Shiv Nadar University chennai. I have written the end Grande exam for other colleges such as VIT , SRM , PES , Amritha and got into most of them but i chose SNU over them. I also wrote JEE but couldn't crack the exam and so applied to all other decent colleges. About the admission process, the first step is the college entrance examination SNUCEE. After qualifying in the exam we are asked to attend a interview where they will test our communication skills and basic understanding of subjects. If you are qualified in the interview round then you will receive a mail regarding the fee structure and other details regarding document verification etc.
Likes
- Importance is given to both to extracurricular and curricular activities. Focus is given on an all round development. Faculty members are all very qualified and are skilled in terms of how they teach.
- We have Lab session attached with non theory courses which help us use what we learnt in real life. Students are allowed to collaborate with professors.
Dislikes
- Most students are from in and around TamilNadu, so exposure in terms of students from different places would be less likely to happen.
Admission:
It starts with applying for the entrance exam, SNUCEE, for which the eligibility criteria is a minimum of 75% in the board exam. The application can be looked up at the official Universe website. There are no reservations or benefits, as such, and is purely merit-based. The exam will lie in the same level as JEE mains or a little less advanced. There's no cut-off as such, as they filter the applications based on several other factors too, like your extracurriculars. Once a student gets through the entrance, they are shortlisted for an interview for which they're required to come to the campus. Two-Three of the faculty members will conduct the interview. If the student is selected in the interview, they'll be sent an offer letter. The whole process might take a maximum of up to 1.5 months.

First eligibility for the course must be 75% in the 12th class. The application must have been done on snuchennai website. there are no reservation benefits available and only a pure merit basis. must write snucee exam and attend an interview.

There was an online proctored entrance test held by the university. Eligibility was based on the said test as well as 10th marks, 12th marks, and any extracurricular that we were a part of. SNU Chennai's website has a detailed layout of their fees, application dates, application form and so on. There were no reservation benefits that I could apply for, and the admission process was wonderful overall. They were quick to respond to queries and it was easy to manage and understand.
