Placement Opportunities: The institution's robust placement cell and industry connections facilitate excellent placement opportunities for students.
Labs - the lab facilities provided at Vit chennai are the best and have every equipment required .

Dislikes

Accmodations and all the foodl outlets inside the campus are very expensive
Some labs are very bad, systems being slow or not working at all

The infrastructure is really good. Better than a lot of IIT and NITs
The academic environment is very competitive which will force you to study hard and get better grades

Dislikes

The rules are are very strict when compared to other colleges.
There are no ACs in classroom, chennai can get really hot in summers

Students go to VIT vellore for placements for some of the companies. The average package was around 9.5lpa which is quite good and the highest package was 1cr. Around 900 companies visited VIT overall

they have fully flexible credit system that is you can choose your own faculty.
the campus is green and big, and food shops are available at every corner.

Dislikes

in time for girls is 8 pm and boys is 9 pm
to go out of the campus you need permission from parents hostel and proctor, and a very long procedure and you can go outing only for 6 hours.

Placement Experience:

for placements after 3rd year you go for internship and in the 4th year you get placedby what companies that come to the campus to conduct the placements highest package varies every year but average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is designed well with containing all the basics of any engineering course starting with maths , chem and physics Along with coding languages like python , Java , c and C++ . DSA and web development are available in every cse course along with specialization. For my course ai ML there are good course such as machine learning, deep learning, python libraries to use in training and building AI models , along with all this the university also focus on developing emotional intelligence in its students to crack the job interview and get a good placements or internships which are converted into a PPO . The exams patterns are CAT 1,2 and a final term FAT for both theories and lab courses.

It is a huge campus. So many things are there to learn here. Good teaching faculty
It is great infrastructure. Campus life is very good. Fee structure is also not more

Dislikes

I think apart from studies and clubs they should provide courses like dancing and singing and games
We should maintain 75 percent attendance

Here the placements are good . There will be placement training also. The main reason I have chosen this college is for good placement. The average package will be 8 to 9 lakhs per annum. The highest package is 86 lakhs per annum

The infrastructure of the College is amazing
The hostel accommodation and the food is wonderful

Dislikes

The Hostel Outing conditions for instructional days
Some of the staff are money minded and can give the entire classroom and arrear

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a computer science major in VIt Chennai the curriculum is excellent made in such a way it helps you develop your skill set and also the basic understanding of the subject and mathematics in such a way it's easy for the students to learn and achieve.The exams are hard and there are two internal exams once a month and a final exam.Out of these two internal exams one is a open book test which has proven to be the most hardest.

I liked labs, there is no problem in labs
I also liked the campus life, and the hostels are good

Dislikes

Academic block classrooms are not having AC
Most of the times we have classes on Saturdays as well

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very good and I took this course based on my interest in the field of Btech. Yes, the curriculum prepares you for real-world applications or further academic pursuits. There are no improvements needed. Exams are conducted three times per semester. The difficulty level is moderate to easy.

The huge number of events- both technical and cultural, held in the College are great.
The facilities and prompt action upon complaints is amazing.

Dislikes

The rules are very strict for girls, in time is 8 pm and there are many clothing restrictions.
The student intake is very high due to which there is huge competition everywhere. There are crowds even for lifts and mess food.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming to the campus from the beginning of the 4th year (7th semester). Average placement are around 8L PA. Many companies visit the campus. I plan to take a job from the placements after getting my degree.

Many activities other than just academics for students to grow.
Cultural festival of vit is amazing and everyone should experience it once

Dislikes

Too much focus on exams. There is an exam after every 10 days
Too much focus on English literature which students already learn till 12th

Placement Experience:

The placement percentage here is around 99-100 percent with the average package being around 8-9 lakhs per annum. The highest package offered last year was a whopping 1.2 crores per annum. Many companies like Microsoft visit the campus for placements.

One of the thing I like about my college are the technical event held by the clubs. You can learn a lot and gain a lot of experience from these events.
Another thing I like about the campus are the people. You can come across different types of people here and networking is this campus is really good

Dislikes

The college is strict especially for hostelers. Getting an outing to go out of college is a hectic task. As they ask for parents permission, proctor permission just to go out and they have an early in time from outing that is 6pm
Office order: Office order is something a student will receive if they get caught in any misconduct in the campus. Apparently if a student has more than 3 office order, he/she can't sit for placement

Placement Experience:

From the second semester of your 3rd year that is your 6th semester onwards placement training and placements will begin. Companies such as Microsoft, Google, Apple and TCS do come for placements. Last year(2023) there were around 1000 offers made. The highest package can go upto 60 lakhs and sometimes 1 crore. The average package is 8 lakhs. VIT claims 100% placement rate. My plan after getting the degree is to work in a company for few years and save up money. Once I have received a certain amount I am going to start my own company.

In terms of academics, Amrita University matches the IIT syllabus and course structure. The infrastructure and laboratories are in good condition. The college works closely with businesses and other educational institutions. Many academic activities are being carried out to ensure effective information exchange.

College life is the most interesting part. Amrita University's Coimbatore campus is one of the cleanest in India and spans 500 acres. Amrita is a very diverse campus and a great place to make new friends. There is no such constraint. Cell phones are not permitted in the classroom. However, after leaving the classroom, you can talk to your loved ones. A minimum attendance requirement of 80% must be met, or you must present sufficient justification for your absence.

Amrita provides free wifi that is typically 0.5Mbps fast. Aside from YouTube, Facebook, and a few other sites, most academic content is available. Everything else is restricted. Only nutritious vegetarian food is served. The menu is adequate for a South Indian restaurant. If you are a traveler, you will have enough vacation time in Amrita to visit all of India in two years. The resident warden must grant permission for the outing. Every time a girl needs an outing pass, she must submit a fax from her parents. You can earn millions if you plan on participating in and winning every cultural event that is held there. It is an excellent world-class platform for showcasing and honing your skills.
