VIT Chennai Placements 2022: Highest Package: INR 75 LPA & 81 Students Placed
Vellore Institute of Technology has maintained an excellent placement record by providing its students with ample opportunities to blossom their career goals. The university has been ranked at the 28th, 55th, and 15th positions by the NIRF under the Overall, Management, and Engineering categories respectively. The placement season for the 2022 batch started on July 15.
The institutes, 81 students from all four campuses of VIT Chennai, Chennai, Amarvati and Bhopal received the pay packages of above INR 25 LPA in its initial phase of placement season and the Highest CTC stood at INR 75 LPA.
The PG internship placements at VIT started in March 2021, which is going on simultaneously and has seen participation of 118 companies which has already selected 912 students from the 2022 graduation batch.
Some of the top recruiters that participated were Intel, Qualcomm, NetApp, Nokia, Philips, Titan, PayPal, VMware, Media Tek, Danfoss and many others.

During the placement drive of 2022, the highest CTC stood at INR 75 LPA.

During the 2022 summer internship placement drive of 2022 till now, companies participated and 912 students were selected.
A total of 709 internship offers have been offered and out of which 347 were super dream internships and 318 were dream internships whereas 44 are regular internships.
Around 129 students have been offered Pre-placement offers and recruiters like Fidelity Investments, HPE CTY, JP Morgan offered internships.

- Cultural clubs and social clubs are most interesting to participate and socialize with others
- Faculties are helping and if you are good in studies definitely they are going to help you alot.
Dislikes
- 75% attendance policy is not good. They consider you on leave only when you are admitted to hospital, otherwise you are marked absent.
- Exams and quizzes are conducted frequently. So many assignments are given every week.
Placement Experience:
All most all companies visit the college. Big companies like Infosys, TCS etc.also visit the the campus for placement. Average package is around 8.5-9lakhs . If you are good in studies and can apply theoretical knowledge in practical life then there are high chances for your good placement

- FFCS where we can choose subjects and teachers by ourself
Dislikes
- extra Charges for everything if u get backlog or extra course u need to pay 6000
- too much load and very less holiday..and restrictions on going out side u need approval from parents on college portal

last two sem like 7th 8th are for placements many big companies like motorq amazon paypal delloite cognizant google dell amex and around 800 companies visit the campus for placements 1cr is the highest package and mostly students get placed in our branch I will sit in placements and will be looking for job opportunities

- Have flexible timetable. Values time for everyone

- Faculty is not always that good as expected for such a good college
- Overpriced food in canteen and unhygenic at times
Placement Experience:
Placements are similar to most of colleges. Its good and people get placed with a very drcent salary package . Around 3 lakh till 50 lakh . Which is not very bad in these days trends. Most of them with good cgpa are getting placed

- They offer us flexible slot choosing. You can choose your own class timings
- They have credit systems where each course has a credits and are to completed at the end of the course
Dislikes
- Have strict dress code for girls. Can’t wear sleeveless and dresses above your ankles
- You gotta walk a lot in the campus from hostel to other buildings
Placement Experience:
From 7th sem you are eligible for the placements. Highest package was around 1C and average would be 50000 k . You need to have 9 CGPA to be eligible for the super companies offers . You CGPA is really important

- The advanced amenities like several food stalls,gym, saloon etc.,.
Dislikes
- The college demands fees for everything including the smallest function
- Very strict rules and unequal treatment between girls and boys
Placement Experience:
During the final year (5th year) the students are required to go for several internships and complete all their backlogs. Then the placement opportunity is based on a students GPA. Several popular offices like Surana and Surana are included in the package. After completion of my degree I prefer legal practice in criminal law.

in 7th sem the student are elligeble for placement.there are any company such as fedility ,accenture, dell, microsoft, visa and many other . the average package is 9lpa and the highest goes to 1.2cr. As per the data 85%of the student are placed.My planning after getting degree is to join indian air force for that only i am filling this review because i need 400 for my coaching fee.

- Academics is quite impressive and very well structured.
- There are many events happening every week around the campus and boys to girls ratio is around 6:1 approx which not that bad
Dislikes
- The hostel rules are very strict, you cant even go out of campus in your 1st semester.
- 2nd semester onwards you are only allowed to leave the campus once a week and that too requires series of permissions from your protor and the hostel wardens.
Placement Experience:
Students are allowed for campus placement after 6th semester that is 4th year onwards. Famous MNCs come for placement but they take very few talented students so the competition for very good package is pretty tough. Although many students get thier placement byt thier package may not be as good.

Dislikes
- PDA guards are everywhere, normally it doesn't affect me but sometimes they won't even let you have a normal conversation
Placement Experience:
I'm still a second year student, not very sure about all the companies but I've heard Google, Microsoft, Dell and such top companies have visited for recruitments. The main top companies normally have very limited seats but the middle companies like TCS and NVIDIA take in a good amount of students. The placements percentage is almost 100% here which is one good thing. I plan to write GATE.

- The clubs here are good indeed the extracurricular activities i like the most bcz they provide us od to skip the classes and enjoy events
- The placement is kinda good if u maintained the gpa like the average package is about 8 LPA for CSE student
Dislikes
- The infrastructure of the classroom and the faculty sometimes
- The HOD and staff members in the upper department including Dean is not much into students problem they don't care

The placement of my college is average it is like for CSE student the average package is 8lpa but these placement are generally for 9 pointers and the rest of the students get the package of like 4-6 lpa the majority ones

- Strict attendance policy and not even allows for exams
- Introverts are hard to survive here mainly

After 3rd year 2nd semester students are allowed to sit for the placements The famous company like capgemini,tcs,cognizant,Microsoft, infosys and aws etc. The highest package for this year was 80lpa and the average package was 9 lpa Nearly 90 percent students will get placed as per college administration

The highest salary packages (27 LPA or above) were made by Microsoft, Paypal, Udaan, Dyte, Work India, DE Shaw, Morgan Stanley, Amazon. Besides this, the highest number of offers were made by Microsof (21 offers) followed by Paypal (13) and Amazon (13).
