No, CSE at MAKAUT is not considered anywhere near good given its obsolete curriculum and pedagogy. The subjects taught have no relevance in today’s age and do not match the industry's needs. The situation of practical labs is pathetic and the infrastructure of the institute is deteriorating day by day. The marking system of the exams conducted here does nothing to evaluate your knowledge of intellect. It just judges your capability to fill the maximum number of pages you can. Books by Morris Mano: For Digital Electronics the books by Morris Mano are highly recommended. Fees and Financial Aid:

I pursued my B.Tech (CSE)degree from Calcutta Institute Of Engineering And Management(CIEM),and the total fee for the complete course was 3.5lakh approx,paid over Academic years.The fee Structure remained Stable throughout the Course with no Annual increment.As a general Category Student,I paid approximately RS 84,500/- which covered tuition fees,registration fee,Admission fee,Development charges and other compulsory institutional charges.A one-Time security deposite was also included in the first year payment,which was refundable upon course completion.

Life at CIEM

Per semester fee is approx Rs.42250 and it icreases till 8th semester upto Rs.43250. I am from other state(out o WB) bengol students get their Scholarship every year and concession based on theri marks. They paid half of the fee from the actual fee.

Reality check

I am from 2022 - 2026 batch my fees is total 4,51,500. Aditional 5000 was for college dress and bagpack. Per semester Examination fees is 1200. Rest no any additional cost is taken by college. As per my knowledge every year for freshers fees is incread by around 30,000 - 40,000(Approx). For students who have West Bengal Domicile are eligible for SVCM scholarship of 60,000 per year provided by WB government. THe scholarship is revoked if the student gets a single backlog.

for 1st year : 1,25,000 for 2nd year : 1,14000 for 3rd year :1,14,000 for 4th year : 1,14,000 the first year is slightly higher due to admission , caution , and , registration fees and all .there were so many schlorship as merit-cum-means schlorsip,swami-vivekananda (wb govt ..) , AICTE etc and note the major key factor for a domiclie student that in our college for weaker sections they are providing a tuttion fee wavier (TFW) , if any one belongsd to tfw quota then their fees would be decreasing by a almost of 70-80% which is a big thimngs .
