- The best thing about besc is the faculty . Top notch faculty with everyone either being CA/CS or Doing phd after MCom
- The extra co-curricular activity provided by the college and encouragement to participate in them.
Dislikes
- Lack of hostel facilities for boys. Only reliable on pgs and rented rooms in the area.
- Lack of proper proper training ground for sports. Only reliable on turf located in the college.
Placement Experience:
After 4th semester a student is fit for applying into internship programs . TCS comes for internship trainees and other companies like caviro too. The placement drive is quite high and after 5th semester all the companies come to recruit employees for them.
Likes
- The placement drive is held regularly during the final year. The classes are held regularly and the professors are very helpful and friendly. If one attends classes on a regular basis then all doubts will be cleared.
- The college building has air conditioning in all the classrooms, library, labs and cafeteria. Best thing about the college is it’s beautiful and peaceful library.
Dislikes
- The campus or garden of the college is not open for morning students which does not allow the morning students to enjoy their campus life.
- I do believe that the internship opportunities could be better which is why our college is lacking behind in case of internships.
Placement Experience:
From the 2nd year itself campus placement drives starts and companies start coming to college with their job offers. The average salary is around 20000 per month and maximum is around 35000 per month. It also depends on your overall performance and results. Good enough if you can bag a good placement around 30000 by being consistent with semester grades

- The teacher teaching methods is also good. If the student didn't understand the teacher help us to understand that topic

- some students don't know Bengali and the some 0f teacher speak in bengali so its hard to understand 9f
- The common room uses some cleaning its smell bad to me

5th sem are eligible for placement Wipro ,TATA ,IBM,HCL TECHNOLOGIES AND MANY MORE THE HIGHEST PACKAGE IS 40000 AND THE AVERAGE PACKAGE IS 25000 almost 70% of students gets placement My plans after getting the degree is doing a CA COURSE

- The office staffs are very helpful for every shift. This means whenever we face problems they help us immediately and understand our request.
- The teachers are very helpful and the understand us very well. They help in every aspect of life

- The canteen can be a bit more clean as it is a place where we take breaks and have our food.
Placement Experience:
The students are free to do internships which makes them more specialised. The students get placement in the last year that is the 4th year. The average package is 900000. My plans after the degree is to persue with CMA.

- A supportive and inclusive atmosphere which helps students to ask there query
- Easy to collaborate on academic and extracurricular activities
Dislikes
- There are certain rooms which are very large which sometimes create problem for students to listen carefully
- Teachers arrives after 20 mins from the start of the class

Company visits our college for recruitment of students from 4th semester but they are eligible for an internship after passing the course. There are 3 -4 companies which provide job opportunities on a regular basis in our college. There are 20% of students get placement but around 3% of students only do jobs through college placement.

- Made great friends and made too much memories with exclusive classes

- College staffs and proffers and especially classes

After 5 th sem Highest package was about 45lakhs And companies like pvt ones Tata and birla It's depends on skills if any company hiring you you gotta have that skill soo if you are practicing and developing you skills then you gonna make up much higher

The students from semester 3 are also given opportunities for internships in various companies which leads to experience and exploring of the real world.there are various companies such as lenakart ,and boat offering placements in our college.the average percentage of students getting the placements is around 30 percent.

- I really liked the new professors, I could connect with them better since their age gap was less.
- The college fees is less as compared to other colleges.
Dislikes
- The college needs to improve in cleaning facilities
- My college infrastructure is small and the course completion is not taken seriously.
Placement Experience:
The semester students of their respective streams are informed about the placements via official whatsapp group. From second year onwards we can give interview on the visited companies like TCS , Bharat matrimony and are informed about job fairs with companies like Unilever, unifound. The students who are interested give it a try and they can get the placement if they are eligible. I have only attended a job fair and it was an average experience as the recruiters emphasized on clearing the semester first. I'm in 6th semester currently.

- It's the only college under Calcutta University that has a large playground
- The college students' union under Trinamool Chatra Parishad is amazing

- Some of the professors are not at all good. They let their ego take the centre stage
- Most of the benches and desks haven't been upgraded in a really long time.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements from semester 6. Companies like IPAC provide placements and I plan to prepare for UPSC and other government exams after getting the degree. Not many students get campus placements

The placemnts are not so good and not so bad its average as the bcom course generally provides 2 to 5 lpa package and this college also provides like this only 3 to 5 lpa my pov on this is that its good that the placements ratio is 40 to 50 percent

What is the placement record of MBA of Calcutta University?
A lot of students apply every year to the MBA programme for the available 33 seats.
The placement rate is around 25% with a minimum CTC of 1.8 lakhs per annum. About 66% students are recruited off campus while 34% are recruited on campus. Out of this, 29% are placed through international on campus recruitment i.e. international brands recruit them, while 71% students are placed through Indian firms.
The selection process includes: MCQ test and Interview. Though some companies can adopt other ways of recruitment such as Assignments or Group discussion.
Before the entire process, Calcutta University organizes Industry- Academia Interaction program, under which students get exposed to the industry requirements.
