The curriculum and pedagogy were at par with any old IIM and the case study based learning was highly effective and insightful. The industry leaders taught concepts through real life examples and decision making processes at their organizations

The CAT curriculum helps to prepare the actual curriculum encounter in MBA. It helps in smoothly understand the concept after the commencement of first year in the college. Real world marketing, finance, operations scenerios are also introduced. Difficulty level is also of above moderate level hence helps in maintaining the discipline throughout preparation.

ASPECTS OF CURRICULUM: A few of the subjects like Business ethics, Design Thinking, and Experiential learning were very intriguing and exciting and influenced my decision to choose this course. Experiential learning in IIM Kashipur helps us delve into real-world cases. The course is divided into three arenas- Environment and Sustainability, Urban and Rural Planning, and MSME. An individual can choose according to their alignment of interests. Here the real-world problems faced by companies in Kashipur and nearby areas are presented to us. We are given an exciting opportunity to do internships and work for those organizations. Some of them are profit organizations and NGOs. TEACHING METHODS: The professors are very knowledgeable and have expertise in their area. Techniques like roleplay, simulations, and field learning outside the classroom are incorporated into the classroom. TIMING AND FREQUENCY: The exams test the concepts of students and are held twice in a semester

The course and its inspiration from the top institutes of the world and the various study methodology which have been adopted by the institute which include case studies, projects as well as industry exposure which led me to choose this institute rather than other B-schools and it also provides industry exposure. The curriculum is very much updated to the real world scenarios. Either it be the constant evolution in the market or the skills required. The course totally take care of it and ensure that the students get the best knowledge which is as per as the market standard and also considering future prospects. The exams at a Bschools are very comprehensive focusing on more of application based approach and every term there are quizzes , projects and end and mid term exams on which one is evaluated thus making it a continuous evaluation process.

In my honest opinion, the actual MBA course is not all that it's hyped up to be. I only considered doing an MBA because of the money that I could receive after completing my degree. But I am not learning anything new in my course. I already did a comprehensive B.Com Honours course from a very good college which is probably why these subjects don't offer anything new for me. There is very little practical teachings that prepare you for the real world. One thing which it does is that it gets you ready for the hectic work-life of the corporate world with the constant quizzes, group assignments and presentations.

As an aspirant an MBA would teach us time management, and other management skills and would help enhance our personality as whole so that we are ready for the real-world. The curriculum under the MBA course at IIM Kashipur covers all the aspects of Business namely Finance, Marketing, Operations, Leadership, HR, Business Analytics and others in the the first year of the course. In the second year of the course we can go with the subjects of our liking and study only those subjects. This curriculum makes you real world ready not only from the business perspective but as a person in whole by teaching you about the real life scenarios and how to act upon them. Only improvement that I feel is required in the curriculum is that we have a lot of subjects in the first year but we do not have much time to have an in depth knowledge of most of them, this should be rectified. At IIM Kashipur we have Mid Term exams in every 1.5 months and End term exams in another 1.5 months, a year has 3 semester

IIM Kashipur's core MBA course focuses on imparting students with practical knowledge along with making sure their theoretical concepts are thorough. With subjects including programming, R, Python to integration of those subjects in finance, or marketing research, they provide you for real-world problems for roles like investment banking, consultancy or product managers. After looking at the curriculum I was in awe of the rigorous and challenging curriculum for which I wanted to pursue MBA. The course strengthens students concepts with a Case based approach where real life corporate cases are taken and discussed with the students to find solutions and apply theoretical concepts to them. The curriculum includes a well balanced structure of quizzes, Class participation, mid term and end term exams, their weightage depending on the course. One recommendation from my side would be to include more industry visits for greater exposure.

The overall curriculum is based on real life application of concepts. For example, In Management Accounting Subject we got to know how different companies set price of their products, what complexities one should consider before calculation. It is a blend of traditional management practices and latest intergration of IT and AI.
Honestly speaking, a career in investment banking should not be considered by the new IIMs. It’s a too ambitious profile to match the relatively new curriculum of these IIMs. Even if you are in a top B School, you will have to remain among the top students to get placed for a front-end role. One can still get roles in corporate & business finance but getting roles in Investment Banking is rather difficult.
Yet if you are not choosing an older IIM and want to choose a newer one, IIM Trichy is the best among them. The order is
IIM Trichy > IIM Udaipur > IIM Ranchi
There are many B Schools apart from IIMs that offer great Investment Banking roles. These include SPJIMR, JBIMS Mumbai, IIFT, and XLRI.
