Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum and pedagogy were at par with any old IIM and the case study based learning was highly effective and insightful. The industry leaders taught concepts through real life examples and decision making processes at their organizations
Internships Opportunities :
The latest placement reports could be accessed on the college website. Multiple MNCs, startups and MSMEs visit the campus for both summer and final placements. They have varied interview process based on the roles and packages.
Placement Experience :
Every batch has a dedicated placement committe comprising of 8-10 students who are selected after a tiring process of 5-6 rounds. The place com tries to get as many companies as posible to the campus for summer and final placements. Almost whole batch gets placed by the end of the course. Packages range from 12-50 lacs, average being 20 lacs
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The detailed fee breakup is provided in the offer letter. I incurred almost 20 lacs for the 2-year full time MBA including the hostel, mess and other fees. College provides great placement guidance and I was placed through on campus recruitment.
Campus Life :
The campus is huge and scenic with modern infrastructure and facilities. Every batch has student run clubs and comittees which takes care of different aspects of campus life. College fests, competitions, guest lectures, etc are organized frequently
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are pretty good and advanced in terms of structure and facilites. The first year students live on a two sharing basis, while the second year students get a single room. If you opt out of hostel accomodation, you can rent out a place near the campus, which isnt advisable as MBA is all about campus life and group activites.
Admission :
I wrote CAT and went through the complete admission process (almost similar for most of the colleges), which included profiling, GD and PI. The Common Admission Process is held for a bunch of new IIMs for the admissions
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is pretty good, at par with other IIMs. Faculties are higly qualified and have pedigree. Industry experts (CXO's) were invited for taking courses. The faculties were highly approachable and the classroom participation was encouraged and was included in evaluation process.
Interview Experience :
As mentioned earlier, IIM Kashipur admits students based on their CAP rankings, which in turn is derived from the scores based on your profile, CAT score, perfromance in GD and PIs. I prepared for the GD PI at IMS
