- In academic aspects college is good like workshops, international seminars and hackathons.
- College life is tough here but if you are dedicated you can easily survive.
Placement Experience:
Students typically become eligible for placements after 6th semester according to your cgpa's. The mostly visiting companies are TCS, IBM, WIPRO, LCG, ZOMATO, DELOITTE and some Japan companies also. The average package here is 10LPA nad highest is 50LPA. This year 2023 the percentage of student got placed was 85%. My personal plan after getting B.Tech degree is to opt for good on campus placement and then after 1-2 year go for the MBA degree from the best institution and after that let's see what will happen in the future.

- University’s infrastructure is not so great. The campus is still under construction.
- Everyone is unnecessarily strict. Hostel authorities aren’t empathetic or considerate at all.

Placements are a major part of your degree. The curriculum is set in a manner that the whole of fourth year is dedicated to placements. The placement cell focuses on every student individually, correcting their resumes, conducting mock interviews, and many more. Overall, almost 90+% students get placed every year.

- the FFCS system in VIT vellore provides flexibility to a lot of students as the timings of the classes they will attend will be in their hands so they,and also the hostels are really good and hygenic. can plan their daily activities accordingly

- your expenditure at vit will be a lot mainly in food and transport the food in hostel mess is 'CLEAN' and somewhat good but you will get bore of the repititive menus daily and end up eating out many times a week. The auto will rip you off like 100/km
- the amount of fests are a lot in number but compared to the population it is not , everything is first come first serve so you are bound to miss many of themexcept the paid ones casue people know they are a waste of money (except tech events)

placements in my college are not bad if i had to express my opinion as regression period going or as it is apparent in placement stats of different colleges in 2023 we had 904 companies visit our campus and a total of 14345 offers were made in which 4461 are above 10lpa and 624 were about above 20lpa highest CTC was 1.02 cr and average CTC was 9.23lpa and 2024 we had 7272 offers 532 above 20lpa 3158 above 10lpa and highest ctc is 88lpa average ctc is 10lpa considering the amount of offers and tcs gives the most offers every years in our college students who completed 6th sem are eligible for placements the companies which visit out campus are of a lot variety like amazon ,tcs ,goldmansacchs ,zomato ,wipro etc. my plans after getting degree are to work for 2 yrs and then doing masters .

Many multinational companies will visit vit chennai every year like microsoft , amazon , infosis, google, deloite, tata , and many others. the highest package of vit chennai last year is 75lakhs and the average package is 8.19 lakhs and my plans after the degree is to get a good god with atleast 12 LPA

The biggest factor is that a lot of companies visit Thapar and so it is easier to get a placement there. The placements are better in Thapar. But do remember that the placements completely depend on you and not the college.
