Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should meet the following criteria as
Academic Requirement:
- Candidates applying for the Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2023 should have secured minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
- The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be minimum aggregate of 50% for the following categories:
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST
- Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. CERTIFICATE TO PROVE COMMUNITY / NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.

The curriculum is very relevent. It includes all the subjects required for the course. The course not only includes theoretical knowledge but also keeps in mind about the practical knowledge. We have exams every 1month.

My course is Cse with Specialization in Bioinformatics and I chose this course because it was only available for my rank. The faculty-to-student ratio is 3:10 All faculties have a minimum of master's degrees and most have Ph.D. degrees or age doing Ph.D. in our college. We have exams every month at our university.
Likes
- Library has got almost all the books that I ever need. I can borrow 4 books at a time for a maximum of 28 days.
- There are numerous sports grounds and facilities and we can even rent out sporting equipment for free.
Dislikes
- A few clubs expect you to be highly qualified in technical skills in your first year itself which is why they become exclusive places unwelcoming to a person who holds an interest in a field can explore and learn about it.
- The curriculum fails to integrate open source project management into the technical courses
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am doing my undergrad in CSE with a specialization in Bioinformatics. Bioinformatics is a booming field with the need for bioinformaticians increasing day by day. I conducted a proper industry analysis and felt drawn to this domain. With the huge amount of genomic and proteomic data being generated, there is an increasing need for people who can create and work with databases and software like Genbank, EMBL, Uniprot, Genetic Algorithm, Systems Biology, etc. There are hardly 80 to 90 students in our stream so the faculty-to-student ratio is pretty generous. In most of our program core and specialization elective courses like Biological Database, Analytical Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, and Computational Biology, we had a student ratio of roughly 1:35 We are taught by highly Senior Professors in Grade 1 faculty who have done their Ph.D. The teachers address all our doubts patiently and teaching is interactive and cross-questioning is encouraged. The difficulty of exams depends on the faculty
Course Curriculum Overview:
I took computer science specialization in bioinformatics. The courses offered for the first semester is by the college but then you choose afterwards through FFCS. Courses were apt and syllabus was pretty good. But little bit more theoretical. There are industrial visits and guest lectures and totally depend on students.
Fee Structure And Facilities:
It is a bit expensive here as if you get a normal seat also (I.e., other than payment seats) the fee structure will be high and the hostel fees also will be high per annum before choosing this college please confirm once the fee structure and you have the ability to pay that per annum
