Nit trichy has an excellent placement record with a large number of students placed in to top companies every year, the institute's has strong industry connection and career development program
Their way of teaching is really good and impressive, they make concepts easy to understand.
You get a scholarship...if you have some reservations but on the contrary, the college set is not that costly compared to other colleges and the roi is good here, you'll get placed in a nice company in the end anyways

Dislikes

The wifi service is very poor in the hostel and even mobile network is bad due to its remote location.
Room is spacious but the hostel maintainance is so bad as compared to the college maintenance.
This college is very old. so infrastructures are not that good. wifi facility is very poor

NITT MCA

Likes

Faculty is very friendly. They are hard working . We can visit them any time to clear our doubts .
The placements of this college in the previous year were very good.
We have separate buildings for lecture halls of UG and PG .

Dislikes

Lot of restrictions on girls . They can stay till 9:45 PM outside the hostel .
Hostels are not upto the mark . WIFI don't work properly .
Mess food is not that good , people coming from North face problem .

Placement Experience:

For MCA , the internship season starts in the beginning of second year , many famous companies like Uber, GS, Visa ,KLA visit our college . The highest package in MCA placement is 52 LPA and median is 10 LPA. Many students get PPO from the summer internship. The placement percentage for the year 2024 is not that good , but NITT MCA holds a good record of top placements.

Likes

Seperate department for MCA. Many other NITs offering mca course doesn't have their own department
Lots of opportunities within the department itself other than fests that are organised on institute level
Lots of seminars are organised throughout the year and we get real time experience

Dislikes

Too outside of the main city so we have to travel 15-20 km if we want to go to the main city
Timing restrictions for girls. Girls are not allowed after 9:45 pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

The carricullum for our course was changed few years back and it is focused on both learning and placement perspective and it provides real time experience as well. The exams are done regularly in for of 2 cycle test within a semester and at the end of semester we have end sem exam.

The environment of study is quite good, and activities around the campus keeps person engaged.
The sports area is quite developed and one can easily participate in sports he or she likes.

Till last year the placement ration was well known for MCA it was more than 95% but in current scenarion till date it is only 40% There are several companies visited and they have made quite no of offers too

I enjoyed my campus life and also the placements in NITT.

Dislikes

Campus is also spread over large area, so can be difficult sometimes.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th Semester students are eligible for placements for this course. Top companies visiting NITT are Amazon, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, etc. The highest package is around 40LPA, the average is around 12LPA and the lowest IS is around 5LPA. Around 90% and above students are placed every year. The top roles offered are SDE, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, etc.

Simple and Legit.

Likes

All types of facilities are available like sports and study.
Weather is also good inside campus, small markets and canteens are also available.
No restrictions inside the campus for boys to roam even at night.

Dislikes

Too many poisonous snakes available and even the college hospital is available but no any snake antidot is available, they refer you to apolo hospital.
No tranportation is flexible, if you go to trichy bus stand it is very difficult to find any bus for returning campus as our campus is situated too far from main trichy city.
Session late problem always happens, for this we have complete our semesters in only 4 months some times only in 3 months instead of 6 months.

Placement Experience:

Genuinely this year due to the recession and layoffs many companies have visited our campus but have not shortlisted especially MCA, placement season is poor this year still 17 students are unplaced right now out of 109 and only one month is left for placement for our session 2023. The Highest package is 44 LPA which is given by Amazon, and the lowest package is 7-8 LPA which is given by Collins Aerospace and some other companies. 83% of students have placed. My goals are to become a good software engineer in the software industry.

Fests are really good here at NIT Trichy.

Mess food quality can be improved. Most of the people don't like mess food.

NIT Trichy is known for its outstanding placement record of 95% of students getting placed with a good package every year for MCA students. But because of the recession batch 2020-2023 student only 85% are placed. The average package is 15 lpa.

MCA at NIT Trichy

campus is very big. enjoying night life with friend and inside campus. facilities available like for sports library, computer labs, advanced equipments, etc.
Exposure I got after coming here like students are organising very big events, making realtime working applications, that is being used by the college. Competitive circle.
Placements are very good. If you study normally you will get guaranteed placement.

Dislikes

Location of college from city. For anything you have to go 30 km for reaching city.
Many reptiles and animals like snakes, monkey, mongoose, etc roaming around.
in some hostels, equipments are old like fans are noisy, bathroom maitainance also gets delayed sometimes.

Placement Experience:

NIT Trichy comes under the top 10 ranking in engineering colleges in India. It is also a tier 1 college, so placements are good here. For every course, students are allowed to sit for placements from the second last year of their course. for MCA we have 6 semesters. In the 3rd semester companies come to provide internships. and in 5th semester companies come for full-time employment. more than 100 companies visit every year, including most of the popular companies like Google, Microsoft, Samsung, adobe, oracle, amazon, Razorpay, visa, and many more. The highest package offered is around 50 to 60 LPA. average is around 15 to 20 LPA. lowest is around 10LPA. more than 90% of students get placed in noncore branches like MCA and btech CSE etc.

How the Nit college for MCA

the things i liked in the campus is it has all greenery all around the the college.
As here outside very rarely shops are there but all the things are available in the campus shops.

Dislikes

As there are so many greenery in the campus so there are snakes in the campus and other insects.
All the facilities are provided in the hospital in emergency but there is insufficent care taken in snake bite

Placement Experience:

In Nit trichy the course is of three year and after first year student can take internship from the company and after second year student can sit for the campus placement. Many big companis like Amazon, google, microsoft, Goldmans and there are around 100+ companies came for the campus placement for the MCA students. Higest Averge company offer is fifty lakh by Amazon EWS for MCA and averge package is around 10 lakh and in this year Mostly companies came for data science and data anaylyst then software developer and lastly for web dveloper. Around 95 % students get placed in my time of the 2023 year . After getting the degree from the college as I have placed so my plan is to do the job

Nice Placement opportunities that really satisfy you

Events organized by the students from various clubs.
There are lot of hostels and mess that we may choose live

Placement Experience:

There will be six semesters in total, when you are in 3rd semester, you become eligible for the internships, and when you are in 5th semester, you can sit for the placements. A large number of companies come to the campus like Google, cisco, pwc, epsilon, Mahindra, bny mellon, TCS, tata, etc. More than 90% of students got placed. I got an FTE offer for a software engineer from here.

NIT Trichy is indeed one of the best engineering colleges in India, the institution that changed my life. While every NIT has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, NIT Trichy has a distinctive competitive ambiance. Life here is pretty fast-paced and apart from academics, NIT Trichy also has an equal balance of extracurricular activities. There are more than 50 student-driven clubs that encourage the active participation of students. These clubs instill a sense of equality among the students irrespective of their academic profiles. NIT Trichy gives you the opportunity to pursue your passions boldly.

The climate here is a bit unbearable and the location is kind of remote. You will find it difficult to adjust here in the initial months but once you have adapted yourself to the ambiance here, the real fun starts.

Overall, as an NIT Trichy student, you will learn to socialize, handle tea life problems and fulfill your goals. Here, you alone fuel your passions!

B.Tech EEE is the most hectic course offered by NIT Trichy.

As a B.Tech EEE student, you’ll have classes and labs all day long. The faculty is experienced. Most of them are friendly and supportive, but you can only rely on self-study. You’ll have some of the brightest students as your peers. Try to befriend some of them as they will help you a lot in studies.

NIT Trichy is comparable to some of the old IITs, in terms of placements. Almost all the students of B.Tech EEE are successfully placed each year, and some of them even bag multiple offers. Those who don’t sit for placements, opt for higher studies in prestigious Indian and foreign universities.

NIT Trichy will offer you an awesome campus culture, and lifelong memories. Its EEE branch is hectic, but rewarding at the same time.

I am currently studying ECE at NIT Trichy. So far, I’ve had an amazing experience. During the first two years, you will deal with Core Electronics. In the first year, every branch studies the same subjects to brush up on concepts learned in senior classes at school. The next two years deal with the Communication part. You will get to choose electives from various options like image processing, etc.

All the branches are equally good and each offers ample opportunities in terms of scholarships. The ECE branch has a very good reputation and the faculty is quite good. Some teachers can even teach more than two subjects with subjects ranging from Digital Electronics to Signal Processing and Data Structures (elective). NIT Trichy follows a Relative Grading System (RG).

Thus, the NIT Trichy ECE branch is a great choice.
