Course Description
Candidates seeking admission to the courses offered by Karunya University can fill the application form available on its official website. However, the final selection will be on the basis of merit in the entrance examination and qualifying examination. Follow the below-given steps to apply online:
- Visit the official websiter for filling the application form
- Login to course site and submit the expression of interest online
- Once the EOI is accepted, an acknowledgement SMS and Email will be sent to candidates’ Mobile number indicating the Application No. and pass code.
- Now candidate can submit the online application by filling the details and uploading the necessary documents.
- Pay the application fee online of INR 1000/- / USD 250/- (for foreign nationals and PIO candidates)
- Download the receipt of payment of application fee and submitted application form for future reference.
- Make the initial payment as per the approved fee structure of the university through online mode/DD/electronic payment or cash payment mode.
- Once the application is submitted successfully, the candidates will get a confirmation SMS and Email to download the provisional admission letter.
- Final admission will be confirmed to the candidates after verification of their original certificates.

Candidates should have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from any recognized board with a minimum 50% marks in aggregate OR 10+2 in the vocational stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and 50% marks

Course Curriculum Overview:
Exams were conducted every month and the final exams were conducted at the end of the semester. The curriculum taught us more than what we were expecting. We were educated about AI and some other computer languages and how they are used in the field of biotechnology.

- The nature and the climate was excellent, its chill throughout the winter and spring.
- Faculty of the Biotechnology department were heartfelt but strict.
Dislikes
- The security was very particular about leaving the campus before 7pm.
- The hostel food wasn't great, but during special occasions it was nice.

The curriculum was simplified to us by the faculty and hence was not as difficult as we thought it would be. The curriculum covered all the aspects of biotechnology and the various sub-divisions it had. Very few subjects were completely dry and boring whereas some were very interesting and easy to understand.

The course was very relevant. The course was very comprehensive. The course has subjects that provide lifelong learning and are up to date with current trends in education. The course has balanced theoretical and practical subjects.

- Not allowed to go out of campus even for presentation
- Attendance should be present for 80% it's compulsory if it goes down by 0.1% you are not allowed to write exams

Course curriculum made me choose the university for studying Biotechnology and its better rating as compared to other institutes in India. The course allowed me to excel and learn more about the subject line each year. Every year we used to have 3 internals and 2 sem exams to get ourselves evaluated and score based on our learnings.

Will it be wise to join a B.Tech program in biotechnology at Karunya University?
As one of my friends studied B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya University, I might not be able to tell you much about biotechnology, but can provide a general overview of the institute.
- The university is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and is surrounded by a lush green environment.
- The university gives an option of Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) which is a very good system to bring out individual talents.
- Also, you will get lots of free time which you can use for pursuing your interests and hobbies.
- The infrastructure is also quite good and there are a few good professors who are highly experienced.
- Placements are also good. CSE students received good job roles. But the Biotechnology placements may differ.
- If you choose to become a residential student, you will get even more time.
