Faculty

well i don't know about the faculty student ratio but there are enough faculty for students . the faculty members here are experienced and have good knowledge about there field ,several research also goes there and they have enriched Phd scholors which helps the students as well . As such i don't have a particuler faculty to be liked coz they are teacher and all are best in there in certain way and same way i dont have a faculty to hate . Exam pattern :- so there are total 2 exams in semseter one is mid sem and other is endsem :- 20+30+50 marks ( TA + mid sem + end sem ) credit system is there and relative grading system works here CGPA

Course Curriculum Overview

there is curriculum that prepares for real world application practicals are there which prepares and helps for further education . The frequency of exams is that after one and half month after semester starts there will be mid sem and then mid sem practicles and after it near about 2 month or less then that there will be our end sem practicles and theory exams after few days from both exams makeup and supplymentery exams will be there . the biggest point to be noted is there will be not a single day gap between two exams . and practicles exams will be in there respective periods .

Faculty

Faculty members here at NIT Raipur are excellent, all are PhD holders from some of the top universities of the world. Faculty to student ratio is 1:72. Engineering graphics faculty is the one I liked the most. There are 2 exams every year with moderate difficulty. Course curriculum is relevant and make students industry ready for opens research opportunities.

Campus Life

My overall experience till now is good here. Only dislike is poor infrastructure here, campus offers all kinds of sports and extracurricular activities, there are various clubs that run in the college like sports, music, drama, finance etc . Some major fests that held every year are Aavartan ( Techfest ), Eclectika ( Cultural Fest ), Samar ( Sports Fest ) .

Fees and Financial Aid

Coming to the detailed fee structure it was about 7.2 lakhs. Scholarship will be totally based on the merit. And in every semester you need to get 7 cgpa I get 15 % scholarship and for some students it was upto 50% also based on how fast you take admission in the college. And yearly you will get merit scholarship also if you are top student in the department.

Campus Life

Overall experience was very good in my point of view . Because the college will conduct no of activities where students know something new every time. It builds out knowledge, team building skills, confidence levels, etc. there were many clubs in collge in that few were like dance club, music clud, etc

Faculty

The faculties can be both good and badin terms of teaching, the faculty to student ratio is good. The faculty student relationships depend on the faculty and almost all of them are easily approachble, there are not any particular faculties i like and dislike. There are 2 internal exams which will be converted to 15 each and be added to the total internal of 60 for a subject. And then there is a semster exam out 75 which will be converted to 40 and will be finally be totaled to a 100 marks

Campus Life

The campus life is pretty dull and there arent much events and even if there are it isnt as good compared to other colleges and the infrastructure is also not as good as most of it is still under construction and there clubs but its not given much importance

Faculty

The faculties of nit Raipur are average, some facilities are very nice , they try their best to explain the concepts for me ( Deepika agrawal mam for data structure and juhi mam for computer programming) they also reduce the topper marks so that the passing marks gets lower so that everyone can pass , some facilities are very rude they give marks to only those students which write the answers from their class notes, they do not care what you have written. The exams level is moderate, for some subjects the difficulty level is high example -biomedical, many students have got supply in this subject

Campus Life

Avartan, eclectica , shourya, Shruti, and a lot of fest are organised in nit raipur by each clubs and commetie, most of the fest are held in January The library of the college is very good , a lot of books for the competitive exams are also kept and a huge variety of books are also available Sports facilities of college is very poor, for cricket and football there is no proper marking Clubs make you grow very much they make you learn a lot of practical knowledge which helps in placements

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college takes semester wise fees and it ranges from 12,500 to 18,000, depending on the semester. Odd semesters have comparatively higher fees for university registration. The SC , ST have lesser fees than the general catagory. All of my batchmates fall in the general category so we have the to pay the same amount of fee. Other than that we have to pay the end semester examination fee that is around 2500. Our college provides scholarships like NSP, which is a government scheme and financial assistance to the students in need, which is at the expense of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The main reason for me to choose this course was its caught my attention and my interest in this field grew with time. The curriculum can be made better with practicals and real world visits to put our theoretical understanding into practice. The frequency of exams is normal with good timings. And I would rate the difficulty 3.5/5 of the exams.

Faculty

Some faculties are very friendly and approachable, they share study materials, tips and advises to help us study better. Whereas, there are other faculties that are arrogant and tend to choose their own method of teaching which does not resonate with the students and the students end up struggling. There are 2 series texts conducted as internals every sem along with the semester exams. Same applies for lab.

Campus Life

I have been actively involved in clubs and societies from my first year. It was a good experience to network with other peers, organize and volunteer for events. There exists multiple clubs like IEDC, IEEE, Fortitude (Mental Health), TBT(Literature), FOSS, etc and an annual national level tech fest "Excel" held every March. Other events include Arts and Sports days, Onam, Christmas, Ethnic Day, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

Relevance to Industry and Emerging Trends: The curriculum at NIT Raipur aligns well with core engineering principles and includes foundational courses across disciplines. In branches like Computer Science, Electrical, and Electronics, students are introduced to contemporary topics like data science, machine learning, and embedded systems, which are industry-relevant. However, some departments may have slightly outdated portions, and students often feel the need to supplement with online courses for fast-evolving fields like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and renewable energy. Practical Applications and Hands-On Learning: NIT Raipur emphasizes practical application, with regular lab sessions, workshops, and project-based learning integrated into the curriculum. This aspect is particularly strong in core engineering fields like Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical, where students get hands-on experience with tools and projects. However, the amount of industry exposure can vary, and some students feel there could be more collaborations with companies for internships and real-world projects. Research Orientation and Depth: The curriculum offers solid theoretical foundations, and faculty encourage students to participate in research. NIT Raipur also has specialized labs and resources for research in fields like materials science, electronics, and environmental engineering. That said, the depth in cutting-edge research areas may vary depending on faculty expertise and department resources.
